It seems like it could benefit from having land.

Erratic Portal is simply bad. It may work once, then after that your opponent will just keep one land open for a goyf. If you're looking for creature removal, there are tons of better cards. Blood Clock isn't much better, either. From what I'm seeing so far it looks like you took the basis behind something like x"still"/stax/dragon stompy decks and replaced some of the cards with worse cards.

My guess is he actually returns his witness and then get plow under back again.

I'd play some Primal Commands, fetching Witness and putting a land on top, rinse repeat seems like a good strategy for this deck.

Stampeding Serow/Wildebeests may not worth the addition, but still wanted to say it.

Could you post some explanations about your deck (card choices, strategy, etc.)? I don't think its very productive to simply post a list (especially one without land).

Doesn't work too well if the opponent keeps only one land in play to avoid being locked.

Try playing with one land only...
Still the deck is.. not very good.Actually, half my decks had 1 land as the optimal number.
