Well, i love this guy. I think we could create a deck around it. I´m posting a new here because i would like to know what do you think about it and what cards you´ll use in a deck like this.

I´ve found several cards i think could be good to the deck so please help me to improve it.

Cards i think could be useful:

Manaplasm (obviusly)
Tower Above (11/11 trample wither provoke sounds good)
shriekmaw (kill your dude and +5,+5 sounds good too)
briarhorn (+7,+7 for 1G sounds good enough)
tombstalker (+8/+8 and a 5/5 flier is good, isn´t it?)

After that we can use a pack of pulse of maelstrom, pernicius deed, duress, and so on to clean the table.

we need any kind of card advantage so we can use ohran viper, cold eyed selkie, stroyteller, skeletal scrying, phyrexian arena, or something like that.

Could anyone help me to develop the deck?

Lot of thanks for everybody. All your ideas will be well received

Manaplasm seems to be alot of fun when you combine it with a Blazing Shoal pitching stuff like Progenitus. Manaplasm would recieve +22/+12 until end of turn for 0 mana. To give trample, add Berserk so it's 48/14 trample. Seems like fun.

But shoal cost is XRR and you may remove a card with cost X to pay it, but how works the alternate casting cost X with the plasm? If we have X in the casting cost then X would be zero at the time we are checking it, isn´t it?

Thanks for your help.

As far as I know, X must have the same value on each instance of X on the card. When a card is on the stack, X is calculated in its converted mana cost. So therefor, when you cast Blazing Shoal pitching Progenitus, X=10, so the converted mana cost is 12.

Lot of thanks, it´s sound funny, any more ideas?
I´ve found Fury of the Horde could be interesting because you hit with a 8/8 and re-hit with an 8/8. It sounds good but it requieres lot of red cards so im not sure about this card because i think is better using a black green base.

Any more ideas?

Thanks.

It's really not that good by itself, and doesn't win the game immediately, so it's probably casual at best. There were discussions about it when it was originally spoiled...

http://www.mtgthesource.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11297&highlight=manaplasm

The idea is typically to play with a bunch of cards that have alternative casting costs to cheat up the manaplasm's stats. So, Affinity, Evoke, Flashback, Suspend, Hideaway, Sacrifice, or discard/rfg to play stuff like the Shoals or Fury of the Horde.

The well known cards for boosting Manaplasm are bounty of the hunt and invigorate.

Yeah, bounty gives +8/+8 and invigorate +7/+7.
I´ve thought on them but i don´t like bounty because it requires to remove a card and invigorate gives the opponent 3 life so at the end and without a berserk is only a +4/+4.

I would like to develop a deck that could be little less stompy. A deck that could control a little till it plays plasm and win.

I was thinking on playing cold-eyed selkie too. Thought that we will have lot of pumpers like briarhorn, tower above, bounty, shoal so we are going to draw lot of cards with selkie. It cost 3 so at least is a giant growth to our plasm and provides lot of cards for it.

I was thinking now in a deck like next:

4 manaplasm
4 cold eyed selkie
4 tombstalker
4 shriekmaw
4 briarhorn
4 tower above
4 bounty of the hunt
4 pernicius deed
4 blazing shoal
4 progenitus (combooo)
4 natural order (another combo in the deck)
4 noble hierarch/bird of paradise/llanowar elves/mox diamond/.....magus of the vineyard ---> aceleration.
mana

is a very very rough beginning for the deck but have cards that had sinergy between them.

Sure is a very bad deck but i would like to improve it.

More ideas?

The last version of the deck is the following:

4 ancient tomb
4 city of traitors
4 wooded foothills
4 bayou
4 forest
4 mox diamond
4 spawnwrithe
4 briarhorn
4 Manaplasm
4 tower above
4 shriekmaw
4 cold eyed selkie
4 bounty of the hunt
4 pulse of maelstrom
4 Hungry Spriggan

The deck is fast enough to win several match-ups and have lot of creatures that are a "you must kill me NOW".

We have a little control provided by shriekmaw and pulses and a very powerful draw engine (selkie) that give us lot of cards with every combat.

Sideboard could be like:

4 unmask (combo)
4 pernicius deed (aggro)
4 krosan grip (hate)
And any combination of choke/......

Any improvement or idea that could help me to improve the deck?

Thanks.

Clear the way with Submerge!

Submerge is not a real problem for this deck. It slows a little but sometimes could be even a favor (plasm in play, you submerge another guy and next turn plams grows again with the dude).

Any of the creatures of the deck is good enough to kill opponent fastly, and we have pumpers to make it even faster.

Counterbalance decks is not a real problem i though, because all of aour creatures have 3cc but the point is that geen provides krosan grip and pulses maindeck are a house (kill tarmo x 2 without any looses ;) ).

shriekmaw kills any monster of the format (minus tombstalker and dreadnough) (as pulse does, yea, it kills stalkers and dreadnough) so we can beat with our critters ftw.

E. Explosives are hard to play with 3cc and usually is late when they comes into play.

The only real problem i can fin for the deck is perish, becuase we want to play things on any of our turns, but selkie provides lot of card advantage so i think it isn´t as bad as i´ve thought.

is not a tier1, tier2 or even tier 324, is not a destroyer deck, but is very funny to play with it and can kill very fast with lot of enjoyment.

Any more ideas, thoughts, suggestions, help?

MEATROCKET means YOU could run Submerge. It's free +5/+5 for Plasm. But you can't run 3-color with 2-mana lands manabase.

Mox Diamond needs at least 24 lands to be consistent. Better run Chrome Mox here (like Chalice Aggro does).

Why don't run that Chalice of the Void with Tomb+City(+Mox) manabase?

Pernicious Deed will not help you much against aggro.

You can try Sword of Light and Shadow 'cause you run 8 Evoke creatures.

Bounty of the Hunt is cool, but I don't think you should run more than 2. ANY removal or burn spell will 3-for-1 ruin you.

You need some GY hate in sideboard. Try Offalsnout - it wrecks Ichorid and has synergy with the ooze (and SoLaS if you will run it).

I think Meatrocket suggested that you could play submerge in the deck, not that it's a threat for you!!

Oh, sorry, i´ve misunderstood. The only problem to play submerge is that i´ll have to play blue too so then the manabase of the deck will be worse than now.

Blue provides submerge, gush (forbidden), and mulldrifter, mmmm, wait, i´m thinking on a very stange and bizarre deck that could works well right now. I´m thinking that briarhorn, shriekmaw, mulldrifter and ingot chewer are all elemental so we can play primal beyond and mox diamond to obtain multicolored mana to cast the evoke of all of them, giving cards to us, destroying oposing creatures, destroying artifacts and pumping our critters at the same time plasm is a monster every turn. To recover all the evoke elementals we can play a couple or three volrath´s stronghold so every turn we can replay any of them.

What do you think about that idea? am i crazy ?

ill cut a couple of bounty´s as you said (or even 4 x) and use chalices instead of them, and put offalsnout on the side (good for ichorid, loam (removing loam), and lot of graveyard dependant decks).

Please give me more ideas and suggestions and lot of thanks to everybody for helping me to develop this deck.

To recover all the evoke elementals we can play a couple or three volrath´s stronghold so every turn we can replay any of them.

1) Don't run more than 2 colors (and VERY light splash) - Stompy manabase can't support more (in fact, even second color is very very hard) and Wasteland will ruin you. Manaplasm is green, so green is your main color.
2) Just play Sword of Light and Shadow for recursion (and to protect your precious ooze from removal).

I haven´t thought on sword of light and shadow!!! Is a way to recover all our elementals without paying mana and having a strong manabase.
Another good thing about sword is that black and white prot are good enough to be played. Well, could be the deck something like that?

4 ancient tomb
4 city of traitors
4 wooded foothills
4 bayou
4 primal beyond
4 mox diamond
4 spawnwrithe (elemental)
4 briarhorn (elemental)
4 Manaplasm (fucking WOTC, is not an elemental)
4 tower above (pumper to combo out)
4 shriekmaw (elemental)
4 cold eyed selkie/ mulldrifter
4 chalice of the void
4 pulse of maelstrom
3 sword of fire and ice
2 hungry spriggan

We can discard primal beyod to mox and with mox and beyond we can play all our elementals.

SDB:
4 ingot chewer
4 Wispmare
4 offalsnout
3 krosan grip

Do you like the appaerance of the deck?

Any more ideas suggestions to improve it??
Lot of thanks to everybody for help you are giving me.
