Because I am that awsome

Harm's Way W(1)
Instant Uncommon

The next 2 damage that a source of your choice would deal to you or a permanent you control this turn is dealt to target creature or player instead.

I've wished for a card like that for AGES!

Nice. Possibly playable, even. Well, certainly a fantastic card in Limited and Standard. I'm curious to see if it makes the cut in Legacy. It wins Goyf wars.

Would've been better under the old rules, alas.

is the comment under the card correct that ponder is in m10? New ponder artwork would be nice. Anyways harm's way seems good for standard against red.

Yes ponder is in M10

I saw ponder and this and was allowed to have one for proof to spoil, and I figured I would take the new one no one had seen, I posted this on Salvation after here though so that The Source got it first DAMN THEM.

Edit: Actually my facebook account got it first but thats because I had to post the pic somewhere

If only we got a spoiler for a Legacy-playable card.

This is nifty and ridiculously tricksy.

It's worth noting that the controller of the source of damage doesn't matter. Meaning you can actually do this with an Ancient Tomb or something hilarious like that.

It's also intriguing (Although weak) in tribal decks as an answer to Pyroclasm. Save one of your guys, kill one of theirs that would have lived otherwise.

The fact that it doesnt target the permanent that it is saving makes it usable in slivers... i'm not sure there's a card worth cutting from the deck to include this, but sometimes preventing a couple damage to a muscle sliver can save from the cascade effects of slivers getting smaller and dying to what was previously non lethal damage. Works great against pyroclasm (at muscle+crystalline) and fallout, not so great against the green/red hybrid one cause i cant "split" the prevention 1+1 between two slivers.

Good limited pick, horrible elsewhere.

This. It's pretty much an agony warp for :w: in draft :) But I can't see this being played anywhere else.

Lol at the two posters above. (I can be wrong, but my trained eyes say that this card is nuts and they almost never fail me)

It doesn't seem too good (Ancient Tomb, cute I guess), but it's one of those cards that could be either really good or really bad. I'll suspend my judgment until testing it in... meathooks? Death and Taxes? How many decks actually play white other than the swords splash.

As a semi-on topic rant, I'm fairly depressed that the "new cards" that make up half the set are mostly functional reprints. Savannah Lions? Not a new card. Oh, it has a new name? Nope, still not a new card. They even screwed Remove Soul after sending out textless reward copies. That card doesn't get played outside Standard.

Wow, I just saw that too. That's weak. Especially the blatant crapping upon Savannah Lions by making it an uncommon. R&D has a huge boner for WW always.

However, the one "new" card that does excite me is Gargoyle Castle. I love lands that do things, and this one seems fun.

The power level of this set seems pretty high so far...

Not Legacy worthy, but I'll have a set in my standard pile. It's definitely worth playing there, but that's it sadly.

The Gargoyle castle just makes me laugh when I think about jamming it into my 43 lands deck. lol You could power that thing out quick.

I actually want to build a MonoBrown Stax deck with factories, mutavaults, gargoyle castles and animated stones

That's really constructive

Ontopic: The baneslayer angel looks massive, 3WW for a 5/5 flying, lifelink, first strike with 2 'flavourprotections' seems pretty strong.
