View Full Version : The Solidarity Experiment

I've heard that Solidarity is outdated way too often in the past year and it has become worse since the rules changes. That's why I'm looking for an opportunity to prove people are wrong when they write Solidarity off.

I'm searching for people to test any relevant matchup with me (relevant meaning decks that are at least established). What I'm thinking of are 20 games per matchup (8 preboard, 12 postboard with alternating beginner) - of course there's no need to play all the games in a row.

I'm generally online at roughly this time (midnight GMT+1 and later) and whoever has spare time, I'd be interested if you are competent at piloting one of the DtB or established decks. The only other thing I'd recommend is no specific Solidarity hate, just run the list you'd run in a tournament.

I'm looking forward to your PMs and I'm really curious how this turns out.

- Van

PS: Of course I'll publish the results.

You're awesome for doing this. Will you play your list with 2 Command? Would you please consider trying the green splash list I proposed?

What does your list look like? Maybe we could have a try on that too, and help you with some "other people" results... I'm not online at the same time as you, so... =/

My current list:

Several Slots are still floating though (primarily Cryptic Command #2 and Wipe Away #2 vs Mystical vs Brain Freeze)

6 Island
6 Snow-covered Island
3 Polluted Delta
3 Flooded Strand

4 High Tide
4 Brainstorm
3 Opt
1 Peek
4 Reset
4 Impulse
3 Remand
2 Brain Freeze
1 Peer Through Depths
3 Meditate
3 Cunning Wish
2 Turnabout
2 Cryptic Command
4 Force of Will
2 Flash of Insight

SB:
1 Stroke of Genius
1 Meditate
1 Turnabout
2 Wipe Away
2 Echoing Truth
3 Repeal
1 Rebuild
2 Twincast
3 Disrupt

@Bahamuth: I did consider it some time ago, but in any non-Counterbalance-matchup I don't like it. Before running green I'd run an additional Wipe Away in place of one Cryptic Command.

Have you considered a 4th Wish with a Tide Sb? And the Hunting Pack sideboard? I've also never seen just 2 Turnabout in the mainboard.

I can help with either Goblins or Goyf-Sleigh since other then solidarity those are the only other decks I run consistently with so I am somewhat competent with them.

This interest me a lot since that is the build you gave me back in dec/jan and its the same one I run IRL atm.

(RDW is the deck I am currently working on Goyf Sleigh is the one I have done in the sleeves for play my bad.)

I would help, but my pet deck is still ranked as new and under development even after all those years polishing and refining it, and I don't know how to promote it to the established deck forum.

I could choose playing other deck, but frankly, I think you'll have a harder time against mine than against others, because solidarity has always been an autowin for me. If you want me to play a particular deck just tell me which one and I'll give it a try to see how it works.
