Hey,
I've been in contact with an international trader and he's willing to trade ridiculously in my favor.
His cards are from antiquities and arabian nights but they're italian and German.
I was wondering if they worth considerably less than English cards? You know when a deal sounds too good to be true? I've traded with him before but there's just no dependable website that I have come to with prices for foreign cards.
Thanks
AN and AQ were never released in foreign languages. Those must be 'Renaissance' prints, the euro Chronicles-like reprint set, and they're worth considerably less.

Loop is right. Those cards are Renaissance and not worth as much as a normal English Antiquities or Arabian card. Those two sets only came in English. Italian did come in Legends, but that was the first set in a different language.
They are worth a tad more than a Chronicles version since that is the equivalent to us. It's only worth more since they were black Bordered. So You must be talking about Mishra's Factories, Strip Mine's and from Arabian it would have to be Ernhamn Djinn or something along those lines. That's the cards that are usually in question.
The Mishra's are typically around $4 to $6 or so. The Strip Mine's are much less sometimes going for $1 or so. The Arabian Reprints aren't worth too much overall since they were reprinted a lot. I don't remember what all was printed in that odd set, but not too much of it is valuable and most isn't even close to the original's prices.
Try Ebay for prices. It's the best place to find those cards and have a half way idea of what they are worth.

thanks guys I will definitely keep that in mind.
It's just when he told me his Serendib Efreet was the AN picture but was italian, I felt a bit fishy.
Quite confusing! Is there a website as to where I can find more about these historic moments so I won't be clueless in the future for older cards.
As for my knowledge, this is how the older sets were made:
Alpha, Beta & Unlimited: English only
Revised: English, French, German & Italian.
Arabian Nights, Antiquites: English only
Legends, the Dark: English & Italian
Chronicles (WB with cards from AN, AQ & LG): English only
Renocance (BB with cards from AN, AQ & LG): French, German & Italian
I'm not sure about Fallen Empires, but that set wasn't in Chronicles or Renocance, so that set doesn't really matter.
Renocance was a set for German, French and Italian players so they could have acces to BB versions of cards which would otherwise only be available WB in their languages. When Wizards started making cards in other languages, they had a very complex way to determen which set would be WB or BB. Renocance was a way for players to pick up the BB version of cards.
Because of this, the Italian Renocance set was smaller, because it didn't feature the Legends cards, since Legends was already featured (BB) in Italian.
This site is good for searching cards sets etc.
