I started making this deck when I noticed the combo of Replenish bringing back Sanguine Bond and Illusions of Grandeur. Basically it's the old pandeburst combo, but with better colors (i.e one of the combo peices is pitchable to Force of Will).

Anyway it's a 4 mana combo that requires two specific cards to be in the graveyard. And the best way to do that, in my oppinion was Intuition

An Intuition stack of

Sanguine Bond
Illusions of Granduer
Gigapede

And a Replenish in your hand will win you the game.

So then i made a U/W decklist with the combo in mind. The Deck acts like a control deck, playing the ussual instant card Draw/Counters/Search, and once it assembles the combo simply wins. If You don't have replenish in hand their are other Intuition piles you could make allowing you to do a crucible/wasteland lock, and an Enginered Explosives/Ruins lock. Thus the Gameplan of the deck is to simply control the game with counters or locks and then combo off without warning. Additionaly worse comes to worse, if the game stretches out to the end game you have an unstopable beast in Gigapede, which can trade with goyf, can't be removed and keeps coming back.

anyway heres the deck,

2 Gigapeade

4 Brainstorm
4 Force of will
4 intuition
4 Replenish
4 swords to plowshares
2 counterspell
2 Illusions of Granduer
2 mystic tutor
2 Ponder
2 SpellSnare
1 crucible of worlds
1 engineered explosives
1 Sanguine Bond
1 vedalken shackles

4 polluted delta
4 flooded strand
4 tundra
3 wasteland
3 island
2 tropical island
2 plains
1 academy ruins
1 petrified feilds

----
Currently, im trying to add and test the following:

Goyf (so far like leaving them with dead cards)
CB/Top (I don't know what to take out so far, but a possiblity)
Loam Engine (This so far has been testing good, Loam plus draw lands will probably replace crucible.
More black for discard (Room again)
Forbid instead of Gigapede (I Think theres room for a singleton of forbid, but not to replace Gigapede, although control and discard is pretty nice)
------

I'm still playing around with the deck so i have not even begun to build a sideboard. Ill be happy of any comments or help that you guys might have!

Your answer to Krosan Grip is to hope they don't draw it or get to 3 mana. The fact that one of the most popular cards in the format says that you lose 20 life and has split second means illusions of ganduer is not playable.

Perhaps some explanations into why play this deck would help fuel comments. For example why play this over a fragile combo such as Painter/Grindstone?

My biggest issue with this deck is its fragile combo. Not only do you need to realisticaly resolve Intuion and Replenish but you also need to avoid having your grave RFGd.

I do however love the versatilty the decks pre-combo.

Does O-ring have a place in here? It works well with replenish and is an on-colour answer to many problems...

I think the point is that you do not care about Krosan Grip... when illusions of Grandeur comes into play its GG as illusions + sanguine bond both trigger when replenish resolves

Actually, you do.

You play and resolve Replenish. Sanguine Bond and Illusions of Grandeur come into play. Illusions goes on the stack. In response, It's Gripped and you lose 20 and die before Illusions even gains you 20.

What about Transcendence/Faith's Fetters as the kill conditiion? Fetters shuts off those annoying permanents, like Waste, plus, you can then 'cut' Blue. Also, It would be interesting to run the deck like Creatureless Dredge. Here are my recommendations:

Land

2 Plains
2 Swamp
1 Island
4 Flooded Strand
4 Polluted Delta
4 Scrubland
3 uSea
4 Tundra

Kill

2 Phantatog
4 Replenish
1 Open The Vaults
2 Sanguine Bond
2 Transcendence
3 Faith's Fetters

Shenanigans:

4 FoW
3 Daze
4 B Storm
4 BStorm
3 Careful Study
3 Stinkweed Imp

Sideboard:

4 Painter
3 Grindstone
2 BEB
4 Crypt

Also of use are Boon Reflection, Words of Worship and the blue and white Hondens as additional possibilities.

Unless I'm missing something, this isn't a combo at all.

And even if it were, you still scoop to Grip.

Not quite; transcendence has a replacement effect that gains you life for all damage dealt to you (2 life per 1 damage). Plus, you'll have taken a fair bit of damage before resolving the combo.

Also, there are alternatives, like I mentioned. Mine was a rough list, based on the OP.

I didn't notice the Sanguine Blood when I first posted. However, unless I'm missing something again, your win relies on the opponent dealing damage to you. Seems weak.

I was thinking of adding in Spiteful Visions, but the fetches also work, as Transcendence actually says loss of life, which is infinitely better than damage. :)
