For those who don't know Virtue's Ruin is: 2B, Sorcery, Destroy all white creatures. I have been running it on and off for a little bit of time but it has never proved to be useful but I still see certain situations where it would be very useful. Against multiple hate cards like Teeg, Canonist, Meddling Mage, and possibly even Pridemage can make things a little unpleasant on occassion. Usually I just Slaughter Pact of Chain the problem away and win, but I still see situations where this could be very, very good. Massacre is NOT better since it won't remove Teeg.
Is it worthy of a SB slot? Clearly it isn't needed in TES, but decks like DDFT and ANT could potentially use it. What are the combo player's thoughts on this card?

Eh. If you're worried about it, deathmark is probably just better. They likely won't have multiple hate bears and you don't need to get up to 3 mana for it. If you're worried about multiples then I guess this could work.
I guess the real question is this: How many times are multiple hate bears relevant?
EDIT: If you're worried about people playing multiples of the same creature, there's echoing decay for :1::b: which gives -2/-2 to a creature and all creatures who share a name with that creature...At instant speed too. Or you could just go for infest too, and have it be useful against other aggro.

While I admit I don't know the exact manabase capacities of every deck in this field, specifically their capabilities of getting double black out of three mana reliably (Though I assume with all the rituals that this is ridiculously high), wouldn't Infest be a better choice to fill that role, given that it kills every card you listed plus it randomly being useful in other rare situations?
(EDIT: Run-on sentences ftw)
Granted, it's nowhere near as cool as Virtue's Ruin, but what is?

I think Virtue's Ruin is cool, but Massacre is usually more useful overall. I do prefer Nature's Ruin, though, or the slighty better (if you don't run green regenerators) Perish.
I even played reign of terror once. It wasn't too bad, but now is too slow for today standards.
