I'll make this short.
Currently located in Boston MA, Beacon Hill to be exact. I do not own a car so it is utterly impossible for me to attend ELDs weekly Legacy events. However I have unlimited access to the wonderful and always timely MBTA.
I would like to start a weekly event, testing, whatever, in the inner Boston area.
1. Do people already do this?
2. Who would actually be interested in this and on what day/time?
Personally I am sick of playing against my one and only Magic friends Survival deck once a month and find MWS to be as fun as running a cheese grater down my ballsack.
Please please please post.
Thank you.

I live in Brookline, right on the border of Chestnut Hill (my mailiing address is actually in Chestnut Hill), and I'd definitely be up for a some games/testing, probably couldn't commit to a weekly thing until September or October though. Also, I'm in the WPN so we could sanction stuff if we wanted to.

That's fine. I just want people to play with.
Anyone else interested at all?

Absolutely interested. I've been wondering about this ever since I found out I'm going to college up there (i.e. in April...).

I'm down for it - looks like we have about 4, maybe 5ish people so far which is a little weak.
On a side note, Any Boston area guys feel free to shoot me a pm if you're planning to hit up any tourneys farther away and want some help with driving/gas money/testing before hand.

If you guys can all make it. Every Sunday in Worcester Thats Entertainment holds legacy events. Split to top 4. There is on average between 20 and 30 people every week. All local people, but plenty of good decks are played. Its always a good time, and they have a nice card selection with good prices, thats always nice to have as I have played at stores in the past won credit and they had nothing to buy, I bought sleeves and snacks.

I just saw someone post about this in the ELD/OTE Wednesday legacy thread and I'm definitely going to make it down for this. Can't for the next few weeks but surely will. That's a pretty solid crowd for a weekly event. It would be nice to get somethin going closer to home as well though.

I'd be up for testings/casual games/random tournaments. I've got a number of decks built to play or loan - Zoo, Dreadstill, Dead Guy Ale, Affinity, Burn, Death and Taxes, Belcher and a Sharuum EDH. Let me know if anything comes together.

Oops.
Don't want to sound like a jerk, and understand you are looking for more players fir your group. But I really didn't appreciate your hijacking my thread with plugs for Pandi.
Toys n Things ownership know both Chris and Tyler. So there's not any real competition between TnT and Pandi/YM. I'm sure you'd have better success posting information about your group on Pandi's website.
Thanks,
DanversGM
Just to reiterate. This Wednesday night thing is for play testing. There is no money involved.

I think I will stop by. I'm a vintage player, but if people actually want to play legacy close by, I'm in.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier, but unfortunately I can't make this one. If this becomes a more regular deal however, you can count me in for the future.

I hope it will become a regular event.
Myself and two others will be there tomorrow at 7:00 PM. I hope the majority of those who said they will drop by do. By my estimates we could have around eight people tomorrow.

I will definitely be there this week, along with several other Vintage players. I know some of them are planning to bring Legacy decks. If any of you guys want to bring Vintage decks, we can make it an Eternal Extravaganza!!

People showing up for this tomorrow? I can actually make it this week!
I was there last week, but spent the whole night playing Vintage and EDH. I'll be there tomorrow with the intention of playing Legacy.
In addition to the 12/12 tournament, I'm interested in going to the 12/5 tournament in Milford: http://www.mtgthesource.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14809. I can probably give rides to this if anybody is interested in going with.

I've been pretty busy the last couple Wednesdays, this one doesn't look too great either - but it's a possibility. On a side note I put the finishing touches on another EDH deck that should hopefully be more fun (at least for you guys) to play against  .
Also, I don't know if you are all familiar with Skittles (http://home.comcast.net/~swcooper/skittles.html), but that is a pretty sweet format as well - definitely worth the ~$10 buy in. Hope to see you peoples on the 12th.

it's just a weekly playtesting group that plays on wednesdays at pandemonium, currently the only thing on the calendar is the dhg tourney in 3 weeks that most of us will attend
Proper capitalization and punctuation are required on these boards. Use them in the future. -zilla

We actually got a good amount of playing in this wed. The vintage crowd (myself included) is starting to play legacy as well, so we will be there looking for testing.

A friend of mine is holding a draft at his place on Saturday at 10am. Not sure why he wants to do it so early but I thought I'd let you know in case any of you were interested in playing too. Shoot me a pm if you want to come.
He lives in Cambridge ~10 minutes from Pandemonium.

Pandemonium Books and Games in Central Square. I would be very interested in playing a 5 dollar weekly tourney. It doesn't even need to be store run. Would people be interested in this on a weeknight?
sunshine

I may just be speaking for myself but weeknights are kinda rough - which is why I haven't been able to make it to one of these in a while. I think a weekly/bi-weekly Saturday tourney would get a larger crowd, especially if we got Pandemonium to let us advertise. Hell, I'd be happy with a regular 3-4 person EDH group if we couldn't get enough for a legacy tourney.
Along the "doesn't need to be run by the store" front - I've got DCI Reporter ready to go...

This sounds fine to me. I know the store has lost the person responsible for running the events there, so this will have to be pushed by the people who want to play.
What we really should do is find a bar that will let us play there in the afternoon...

I can show up on weekdays, but weekends will have a greater pull.
Treegardless, I won't be able to make the first one if it's any time soon as my wallet literally has zero money in it.
