This deck is another version of Isochron Scepter abuse.
Right now its just on paper and I am curious to see if anyone that has experience in building/playing a "scepter-chant" type deck could comment on the build/matchups.

My idea of a build is the following:

Core spells
4 lightning helix
4 lightning bolt
3 orim's chant
4 counterspell
4 swords to plowshares
4 brainstorm

Misers
1 fire/ice
1 research/development (can be imprinted but can play both sides)
1 disenchant
1 mystical tutor (get whatever you need)
1 enlightened tutor (get the scepter)

4 isochron scepter
4 force of will

Mass removal (vs tribal/etc)
2 firespout
1 volcanic fallout
1 engineered explosives

20 land
1 academy ruins
4 volcanic island
4 tundra
2 island
1 plains
4 polluted delta
4 flooded strand

Not really sure what the bad matchups are, I assume CB/Top is not the best or anything w/ goyf..

Sideboard could be:
2 Firespout (vs dudes)
2 Path to exile (vs dudes)
4 Stifle (vs deeds)
3 Disenchant (vs staxx, affinity, cb..)
2 Tormod's crypt (ichorid)
2 Relic of progenitus (ichorid)

All input appreciated.
Edit: I am also concerned that there is a total of 15 main deck blue cards (including FoW) which may not be enough for pitching.

Yes, but you play it only as a one off. I dont think that you can survive that long until you get your ruins. And also, you dont have any good side kill besides scepter. Needle can ruins your day also.

I really like scepter but I think it would be more good in a landstill shell or as a utility card, but not as the main card of the deck.

Academy Ruins help a little bit, but Krosan Grip is, in fact, a two-for-one in most scenarios. I just think you're placing too much emphasis on the card and making the deck a little too dependent on the Scepter.

The instants you play are already effective, so that also helps. Stifle can be bad as well. Sure, you can Force it or whatever, but in that instance all you'd be doing is pitching the spell you'd potentially need for the Scepter to work. Not sure how that would work out.

if youre not afraid of Kgrip then run Tithe...

Tithe gets you land every turn but Scepter imprinted with Tithe + Scroll Rack is like pseudo-parfait!
