Toyed around with some crappy ideas (originally was Preeminent Captain+Captain of the Watch, then looked through all the Soldiers) and then remembered Stoic Champion. Now, there are a lot of 1 mana cyclers nowadays (plus Street Wraith). They do combo nicely, especially since they can actually find the Champion.

// Lands
2 [10E] Plains (1)
1 [MI] Island (2)
4 [ON] Flooded Strand
4 [B] Tundra
4 [ON] Lonely Sandbar
4 [ON] Secluded Steppe
2 [ON] Polluted Delta
2 [B] Scrubland
1 [ON] Barren Moor

// Creatures
4 [LE] Stoic Champion
4 [ARB] Glassdust Hulk
4 [ARB] Architects of Will
4 [FUT] Street Wraith

// Spells
4 [AL] Force of Will
4 [B] Swords to Plowshares
4 [ON] Mage's Guile
4 [ON] Akroma's Blessing
2 [UL] Unearth
2 [NE] Daze

SB: Probably at least 4 Engineered Plague (Goblins seems to be a horrible matchup), maybe chalices
Probably needs more Daze. Also, Daze+Scrubland isn't the best, but I need white mana for the champion and I will need black mana occasionally. Interestingly, the deck cann actually play all the cyclers, though it usually should only play Mage's Guile (StoP-protection) and sometimes Unearth (at most). Unearth seems kinda weak, though; it really is bad against StoP and costs 2 mana to cycle.

Swords is in the deck to handle large creatures (goyf) so you can be more offensive with the Champion. Also, when Champions are killed and you can't find a new one, you might want to stop something so that your non-champion creatures have a chance.

Yeah, I relize this deck looks pretty weak; I only goldfished it so far, and it seemed okay (quite easy to find the champions, which is nice). Do you think I should try chalice mainboard?

Wouldn't a Lorescale Qoatl be better than a Stoic Champion?

Totally forgot about the coatl.But it does have a much harder mana cost, costs one more, and will be smaller first (e.g. : against early goyfs, the Champion seems to be better). Maybe I could implement him someway, though that would be a manabase-nightmare.

Both can be reanimated with Unearth. Maybe that's the way to go, but currently, I'm testing -2 Unearth +2 Fact or Fiction.

Four words: Life from the Loam. Then you can dredge Champion and Unearth it. And it gets +6/+6 a turn.

stuff like choking teathers would help you a lot as it taps down creatures when cycled. plus renew faith might be kinda nice as well. but i can see them also flawed as your build seems to go more for the 1 to no mana cyclers. you got black but not dirge of dread?

Esper Sojourners
Resounding Roar (as a joke)
Resounding Silence
Resounding Wave
Viscera Dragger
Bant Sojourners
Decree of Savagery
Invigorating Boon (maybe go with coatl)

Radiant's Judgement is great for blowing up random Goyfs and Stalkers.

Also, have you considered Fluctuator? It definitely has the nice "oops, I win" factor of occasionally digging through half your deck on turn three. Granted, it kind of forces you away from the one-mana cyclers, but it's certainly a powerful effect.
