Ok so I've been hawking eBay for a while as well as several online stores and I can't seem to find many Japanese Foil cards that are actually good. Is there some secret source that I am unaware of??

Heck, I cant even find pictures of some of the cards on Google. WTF?

Have you tried using the Japanese names of cards? Go to Gatherer and then search for a card in English, then click the tab for languages and copy and paste the Japanese name in a google.jp search. At least you can find pictures.

Half the trick is knowing people. I find Japanese cards here and there, but the majority of the ones I get that are worth anything come from a Japanese site (the equivilant of japan's Ebay Yahoo Look it up). It's not easy in either case. I would hit up Gunslinger for his sources, he seems to have the best ones.

Thanks ill try that.

And as for MOTL, most people there (with the exception of the guy i got my jap burning wishes from) have a grossly overinflated view of foreign card prices.

eBay no longer supports Japanese users (or more accurately no longer has as Japanese site so there really aren't any Japanese users on it). Really what you want to do is know someone in Japan that will buy foils for you on Yahoo Auctions and mail them to you (Yahoo Auctions hit critical user mass in Japan and eBay hit critical user mass in the US and most of Europe, as a result eBay shut down it's Japanese site shortly after and Yahoo shut down it's US and European Auctions site short after).

I haven't had a sales list on MOTL this summer because I was back home in the States. I like face to face trading more than going to the slow, crowded USPS post office. I haven't had a trade or sales list up because I have been busy in the spring with family things. This summer I had a buy list up which I bought 2-3k in cards. I'm still selling and trading if you contact me directly.

About Yahoo Japan.. You have to be able to read and write Japanese to be a member. I believe it cost $4.00 to $8.00 dollar a month to join. (I may be wrong, my wife takes cares of most of my bills) Most Yahoo sellers only take a direct payment to their bank or post office account and don't ship overseas. I would be willing to help out on auctions if it is worth my time. For one auction, if you include everything.. bidding, emails, payment, repacking and trip to the post office can take over an hour of my time.
