Moss Monster 3GG
Creature - Elemental
3/6
With the improved manabases created by the new enemy fetchlands, I see no reason to not include this interesting option in decks capable of support it. It has a number of underrated qualities and inherent sinergies going on for it:
-Its an impressive creature in its mana-to-stats ratio. Its respectable body puts it out of reach to any burn spell in the format, as well as of Tarmogoyf's power at 92,74% of time. Furthermore, it's capable of killing in combat most of Zoo, Thresh, Demon Stompy and other dominant decks' creatures all by itself.
-Its CMC of 5 is accecible to any modern deck playing G in its manabase, and puts it off the range of CB triggers, Threads of Disloyalty and Dominate.
-It's a common printed in Legends and 8th Edition, providing there's no accessibility issues barring it to even become a Legacy staple.
Moss Monster could be an interesting addition to decks already packing Tarmogoyf and Krosan Grip, as an efficient and unexpensive way to deal with enemy Goyfs, providing versatile defense against the most diverse and unexpected threats, and granting you a respectable edge in mirror matches.
Plus, it fits nicely in a Stax shell.
