Parlor tricks is a deck archetype in pauper format that uses the colors of Grixis to control (via toolbox and graveyard recycling). Some of the decks use recurring tricks to win while others have a big bomb finish. This deck is one of the few decks to beat in pauper. It usually thrives in pauper because pauper decks tend to be slower than it's more expensive counterparts.

With the recent unbanning of Dream Halls, the plausable control spells that matches this deck's type of play could easily be played (I'm looking at Cruel Ultimatum).

If you guys have a positive suggestion, please feel free to add. Thank you for your time.

idk dude, but I want to make a dream halls deck now that it's unbanned. I just don't know how I would go about it.

All that I do know is that Force of Will, Brainstorm and Meditate will all (likely) take spots. Accumulated Knowledge might also fit that list well. Some kind of mana accel (right now, it looks like High tide would be best) will also have to make that list.

Myojin of teh Seeing Wins is much better as a card drawing spell vs any of the other cards, and probably nets you at least +5 cards. I would play 4 no less.

I thought the most straightforward use of Dream Halls was to chain Conflux x4 into massive card advantage (something like +14 cards, not counting if you fetch card draw) and just fire off a huge Tendrils of Agony

yeah but that requires a whole lot of bad cards main deck. using it in a shell with lots of tricks and bomby(but not garbage) spells means you can just out play them (ideally)

on the spirit of Parlor Tricks...

my pauper's version of Parlor Tricks usually use Dimir Infiltrator as toolbox and Izzet Chronarch and Rolling Thunder for the final punch.

Also, before I've done this, I would have controlled the game (using spot removal/hand destuction/permission... the best game controllers in pauper under U/B/R)

I would imagine the Dream Halls Version running Conflux as toolbox and grabbing Nucklavee and Cruel Ultimatum and whatever enablers to do an infinite combo.

I know it sounds janky but its could be fun as well.

Back it all up with the best game controller of legacy.

And possibly Progenitus for an alternate finish...

suggestions?
