I'm a little surprise to not find a thread about this deck here. I think most learned Legacy players had pawned off Bant Progenitus as a throwaway deck idea. The deck has been doing very well for me winning about $100 and 3 duals in fairly standard Legacy events.

The biggest debate seems to be whether the deck includes the Counterbalance / Top combo, or not.

The two lists that I was drawn to are Top 8s in Nationals.

First the Japanese list - no counterbalance.

Mainboard:

1 Plains
1 Forest
2 Island
2 Tundra
3 Tropical Island
4 Windswept Heath
4 Flooded Strand
3 Ponder
3 Natural Order
4 Swords to Plowshares
3 Stifle
2 Spell Snare
3 Daze
4 Force of Will
4 Brainstorm
1 Progenitus
2 Qasali Pridemage
2 Trygon Predator
3 Rhox War Monk
4 Noble Hierarch
4 Tarmogoyf
1 Dryad Arbor
# 60

Sideboard:

3 Submerge
3 Gaddock Teeg
3 Krosan Grip
3 Path to Exile
1 Relic of Progenitus
1 Tormod's Crypt
1 Empyrial Archangel

Then ,the US Legacy Nationals - with Counterbalance.

Mainboard:

1 Dryad Arbor
2 Flooded Strand
1 Forest
1 Island
2 Polluted Delta
4 Tropical Island
3 Tundra
4 Windswept Heath
4 Noble Hierarch
1 Progenitus
3 Rhox War Monk
4 Tarmogoyf
1 Trygon Predator
4 Brainstorm
4 Counterbalance
4 Daze
4 Force of Will
3 Natural Order
2 Ponder
4 Sensei's Divining Top
4 Swords to Plowshares
# 60

Sideboard:

2 Blue Elemental Blast
2 Engineered Explosives
2 Hydroblast
3 Krosan Grip
2 Relic of Progenitus
2 Tormod's Crypt
2 Trygon Predator

I've been running the sans Counterbalance Japanese list. I wasn't really a fan of Stifle and ended up trying of Jitte in it's place, to try to sure up a questionable Goblins and Merfolk matchup. With out Counterbalance though, combo is likely the biggest issue.

I did try the Counterbalance version, and didn't like it, as the resurgence of Zoo lists in my meta ran over it faster than I would have liked.

I basically have about 4 spots open maindeck (replacing 2 x Stifle and 2 X spell snare) that I'm looking for interesting cards to try out.

Looking to start a discussion here and see if anyone has an pointers.

That's just CounterTop, look in the DtB section there are pro-CB/top list's.
