Vines of Vastwood - Instant - :g:
Kicker - :g:
Target creature can't be the target of spells of abilities your opponents control until end of turn. If Vines of Vastwood was kicked, that creature gets +4/+4 until end of turn.
(from mtgsalvation spoiler)

As a Green Stompy player, i've considered this card as a very good one.

Can this bring Berserk Stompy back from the ashes to be, at least, a stabilished deck?

This card offers cheap Protection and a good growth effect for :g::g:, isn't it nice?

Id like to say its playable (as it counters removal and can kill a goyf with something as small as a 2/2) however I just do not see it, the problem is that bolt, swords, fire, smother, path, exct are all cards and make this card a 2 for 1, so its probably not playable.

Been considering that... sure, there are a lot of removals in the game to make it a 2-for-1, and thats our worse nightmare always (note: thats also why we run 4 silhanas)
But if you play a growth (whichever growth effect), then they try to 2-for-1 your growth, you can play vastwood and deny that... and this is not a uncommon situation. Actually, a quite common one... it depends on the player, and the felling, but seems a good option... and they'll have to hold their hate untill they get 2 of it
Seems like it makes the combo harder to break

It's a nice card for Berserk Stompy, the deck needs opponent shoud SO badly, but I'd really rather just have it on a creature. Also it certainly doesn't change how many issues issues the deck has with both Chalice and Countertop. Seeds of Innocence and Reverent Silence out of the board help, but it's still not easy to win against them by any stretch of the imagination. I think to put the deck into decent competition it'd need at least a solid cheap beater that somehow dodges CB/Chalice (think of a Vine Dryad or Allosaurus Rider that doesn't suck).

Against CB/Chalice could use some Krosan Grip... well, anyway, this isn't the point... This card is good only for bersek stompy, maybe there should be a Berserk Stompy Thread in this forum for this discussion... since Berserk Stompy is being such a different build and sometimes even getting Tops at tourneys...

Should I write about the deck and post under Developmental?

Please, I'd be interested.

I second that due to my odd fascination with tier 2 decks that I want so badly to succeed. Also having my set of FTV Berserks burning a hole in my binder could have something to do with it.

Nice card for stompy. You go for random pump spell, they respond with random removal spell and you own them with this =)

Not something that is going to push stompy to tier one, but definitely a nice card.
