Hello everyone. I'm moving to Edmonton, Alberta for about a year starting this Sunday (Sept. 27). I know the locations of various card shops (one of which is just across the street from my apartment), but I was wondering if anyone was aware of an Edmonton-area Legacy scene.
Thanks for your help.
Fingers crossed,

Not to necro a dead topic, but on the off-chance that someone sees this and it jogs their memory...
Have I got any luck? I've found a few shops nearby (three), but none have any Legacy activity whatsoever.
As far as I know, you are out of luck. It's hard enough here in Vancouver, where there is one Legacy tournament per month, at 5 pm on a thursday. So if you have a life you can't arrive on time =/

Necroing the thread. Is there any semblance of a legacy scene in Edmonton as of 2012? Any one interested in starting one or just playing a few games?

Hi AkTak,
I was born and raised in Edmonton but live in Calgary now. I still go up to Edmonton at least once a month because my family and friends are there. Wizards at U of A and Thunderground at St. Albert used to run Legacy tournaments, but not anymore. I've personally gone to talk to the stores there, including Warp 2 and Adventurer's Guild, but nobody's started anything yet.
I've applied to WotC to become an Event Organizer so I can start my own Legacy tournaments in Edmonton. The application's still in progress, but slowly getting there. My vision is to have a Legacy tournament in Edmonton at least once a month. I've been collecting contact information from people I've met who're interested in playing Legacy so I can get this going.
Can you please pm me with your info? I'll be in Edmonton this Thanksgiving Long weekend and may have time to play some casual games if you're interested.

Think you'll be up here again this month? I sent you my # but pm me if you lost it. Also, is there a better forum or maybe a facebook group to use for this kind of thing?

Any luck with this? I've been looking for legacy tournaments and have been unable to find any in Edmonton.

Hi Parka,
I have been able to get a Legacy tournament going once a month in Edmonton actually. I've had two so far this year. Turnout's been pretty good too. I'm the only person in Edmonton running Legacy competitions at the moment. Funny that I don't even live there now.
Please pm me your phone number and I'll make sure you get invited to the next one this month. It will most likely happen on the 16th.
Look forward to hearing from you.
