Confidant ability question

Just want to make sure, but Dark Confidant's ability does not count as drawing a card does it? Based on the wording you shouldn't be able to dredge the revealed card rather than putting it in your hand, and likewise he doesn't activate things like Lorescale Coatl or Words of ____.

No, it doesn't, and your inferences are correct. If it doesn't say 'draw', it's not drawing.

Correct, Dark Confidant does not draw you cards. You cannot replace it with dredge and it does not trigger coatl.

No, it's not drawing, you just put the card in your hand. Can't dredge, can't replace it with Words of *, doesn't make Coatl bigger etc.
