Ok i've been tinkering with this idea for a while to run a deck based around blowing stuff up with deed and explosives. At first though I was under the impression i just wanted to play some sort of Rock deck, but i kinda don't like those all that much. Plus i wanted to run red. so i put ideas from various decks together and made this list. I don't know if it can fall under any established deck type though.

(15)
4 veteran explorer
4 arc slogger
4 Fledgling Dragon
3 flametongue kavu (maybe shriekmaw)

(15)
4 cabal therapy
4 burning wish
3 terminate
4 nights whisper

(4)
4 pernicious deed

(7)
3 engineered explosives
4 top

(19)
3 mountain
2 forest
3 swamp
4 bloodstained mire
2 wooded foothills
2 taiga
2 badlands

Sideboard is still being constructed as it is a wish sideboard. but i have the usual burning wish spells

reverent silence
perish
damnation/ firespout
maelstrom pulse
shattering spree
chainers edict
regrowth
reanimate
(etc. 2b cont.)

First off the creatures don't exactly compliment each other. I am going for creatures with large casting cost and as much function as possible. Dragon stompy creatures look interesting. The point of the high casting cost is to as you may already know is to dodge my own deeds. The second upside to this situation is we are getting a lot of meat on these creatures for that high casting cost. To do this i am trying the cabal therapy and veteran explorer land acceleration.

Arc Slogger- He is big in cost and in power and toughness. He also somewhat functions when were getting close to the kill or you need an extra 2 damage. His functions down side is in most cases he will only fire off 2 to 3 times before the deck is shot, second he doesn't benefit dragon.

Fledgling dragon- I chose him because again high casting cost and he is a reliable flyer even without threshold. Threshold isn't terribly hard to get to in this deck, but it can't be counted to come quickly. But being able to fly brings a much needed quality to the creatures spread.

Flametongue kavu/ shriekmaw- Both have ups and downs. The purpose of this slot is to have another creature that can both survive deed as well as destroy opposing creatures.

terminate- mostly just to bring the direct creature bombs up to 6 combined with kavu/shriek. I may give way to maelstrom pulse, as it creature bombs and the deck currently has no planeswalker removal.

Deed- i have referenced this in several other card explanations

engineered explosives- it is not as great as deed but similar enough i thought it should be included

Top and nights whisper- the deck needs card advantage to keep the bombs coming effectively. I had considered dark confidant but the risk of hitting a 4/5 caster without a top out is just too great. My current thinking is nights whisper on the turns while building up to dropping a 4/5 caster would be most effective. The work horse of all this is definitely topping to keep consistency.

burning wish- The deck seems to have enough answers to many things in the format and keep the table nice and clean but for wild cards I may run into this seems necessary so as to not have to throw the game if that wild card I run into cannot be dealt with. (*marit leige* cough!*) Plus i like the idea of using it to fetch a reanimate or regrowth if need be.

cabal therapy- Some discard is always nice so i can see if anything truly terrible might coming down the pipes and plan accordingly. I use this of course for the veteran explorer.

Veteran explorer- He has been an oddity to me so i decided to use him to power this deck, but i can see sakura tribe elder performing much the same while not giving the opponent any advantages.

One issue is those annoying top decks of opposing bombs that will wipe my creatures away like swords and pulse. To answer this I am considering putting in sylvan safekeeper as once the big guys are out there is plenty of spare land to feed safekeeper to protect them with. I'd love nothing more than to work chalice in here but that just not possible as the deck revolves around deed.

One distinct problem i haven't decided on how to resolve yet is opposing non-basic lands. Side boarding Goblin ruinblaster or magus of the moon are strong choices. It may not compare to having wastelands in the main but the deck has so much hate for so many things leaving it exposed to something like lands hardly seems a problem.

I would love criticism as its a strange combination of various concepts from other decks.
