I know that they're all terrible, but according to Gatherer, Arena, Nalathni Dragon, Sewers of Estark, and Windseeker Centaur are all illegal in all formats. Is this true?
Just wondering; my interest has sort of peaked since I'm about to acquire the little dragon that couldn't (and never will).

You can play all these in Legacy.

Gatherer's legality information is off for the Eternal formats. For example, if you do a search for Legacy-legal artifacts, the Moxen and Black Lotus will show up on your search results.

It brings up legacy banned cards because they would be legal in legacy if they were not banned. With the exception of arena (because it was reprinted in time spiral) it does say that those cards are not eligible for legacy play.

However reading the Tournament rules it does say that these promo cards should be legal:

Players may use any cards from special sets, supplements, and promotional printings that, unaltered, meet the following conditions:
• The card is published by Wizards of the Coast
• The card has a standard Magic back
• The card does not have squared corners
• The card has black or white borders
• The card is not damaged or modified in a way that might make it marked
• The card is otherwise legal for the tournament as defined by the format

Legacy decks may consist of cards from all Magic card sets, any edition of the core set, and all promotional cards released by Wizards of the Coast.

So I want to say that gatherer is in error.

Thanks for the quick replies, guys.
Also, now that I'm getting the Dragon, I kind of want the other three.

Gatherer is wrong. The Dragon, Sewers, Mana Crypt, Windseeker Centaur, and Badger are all legal and always have been fine in Vintage. Mana Crypt is the only one kicked out of Legacy.

I have a playset of Sewers of Estark. No idea where I got them, but I don;t think they are worth anything right?

Not really, but it's one of those cards you might as well stick in a case and tuck away in the commons box. Collectors will eventually have a hard time finding them. There wasn't a huge amount of them. I think the Mana Crypt and the Badger were the hardest ones to get. At least those are the ones I see the least of and I go through a ton of cards.

Yeah, even Troll and Toad, who aren't exactly known for low prices, sell them for only 59 cents. The only one (I can think of) that has any value is Mana Crypt. The Dragon and the Badger are both about a buck. They're still cool though.
