So, I'm Italian. Yes, I know that , when talking about shipping, Italians suck asses. Our Postal Service is really shitty, no one wants to ship to or from us, ecc ecc.
But now, seeing how good the Euro-Dollar change is (1 euro is roughly 1 dollar and a half), i decided with some friends to throw away some cash in one of the Online Shops. So the question is kinda obvious: do you know a *good* one where we can buy singles (also dual lands, perhaps) without being raped? I checked trollandtoad and after the change the price of dual lands and such is the one i can find in here. Only the Zen fetches for somre mysterious reasons are incredibly convenient to be bought from there.
(Ah, if you're goin to make some names, please tell me if it actually ships to Italy if you know it. I'm glad to know if there's a local shop in Azerbajan that makes Goyfs at 10 dollars, but I need it to ship also to my motherf****n' Pizza-and-Mandolino slum).

When I was living in France, I did not trust "La poste" either, I pretty much always used Fedex and was never disappointed.
TrollAndToad+Fedex was always a fast and reliable service.
Now I live in Toronto and I use a combo: Starcity+USPS, it worked like a charm so far.

If you want to really save money buy cards off ebay or magictraders. I'm assuming you don't want to use ebay because of shipping concerns/cost so if you contact one of the big sellers or dealers on magictraders they can probably get you whatever you need and ship it with ups/fedex or whatever you prefer. It will also be much cheaper than any online stores.

See if you can buy from the UK. The euro/pound exchange rate is almost as good as the euro/dollar one, and shipping is a lot less of a problem. I've been eBaying a lot of stuff from there of late (not MtG).
Buying from the USA is probably only a good idea if you make a big order and use a courier service. Note however that you run the concrete risk of getting some hefty customs fees, I know a guy who had to pay quite a bit after redeeming a set from Magic Online.

If you buy from an online seller they will usually put the value at 15 so you avoid paying customs. Assuming you are using Fedex or UPS this is perfectly safe.

I have never had a problem with Italy and Fed-Ex. Postal service it seems even priority registered gets lost about 1 in 5 times.

I think stores in general are to expensive, even with the good $/€ ratio.
Im buying at ebay and pay via paypal, so its safe for me. Well I guess, if u want to ship the stuff to italy u need to pay more shipping fees, but that should be ok with bigger orders.
another good place in europe is www.magiccardmarket.eu

Well, if I would be paying for FedEx service, I would just go ebay. Many ebay dealers offer FedEx and stuff as a shipping option (sometimes as the only one available to Italy), and most of them would do it if you ask for it.

I've heard very good references about magiccardmarket.

I know exactly what you mean about Italy's postal service. It does suck. I'm one of those people who almost stopped selling cards there because of it.
