You're going to be moved into the budget section.

Edit: just to say that according my experience, it's better to invest into real good cards than into average staples. For instance Temple Garden is far too expensive for what it does. Your deck has a lot of expensive and narrow cards. Apart from wasteland, mishra, Life from the Loam and Krosan grips those cards will barely be of any use in legacy.

I'm not sure I totally agree that you shouldn't bother with narrow cards. You should play what you enjoy. Everyone will tell you to buy Forces and such first because they go in everything, but if, for instance, you hate playing blue, what's the point? The first Legacy deck I built was Enchantress, just because I enjoy it.

If you already own the Mazes and Explorations, then you're pretty much set as those are far and away the most expensive cards in your list.

Now, about the deck:
Out of all the budget duals you could choose, Sungrass Prairie is really not the best. An opening hand with that and Maze of Ith, for instance, is not keepable. Horizon Canopy and Brushland would almost certainly serve you better. Canopies go for about $2.50, and Brushlands should be $1.50 or less now that painlands have left Standard. Never mind the pain, it won't matter much when you get Glacial Chasm and/or Nomad Stadium recursion up.

You should decide on whether you're going in a 43lands or an Eternal Garden direction. Your deck looks like a weird hybrid right now. If it's 43land, drop the Wraths and Crop Rotates, and play Manabond. If it's EGarden, play 4 Crop Rotation, it's your best bet of emulating Intuition/Gamble.

- Worship is not solid with manlands. On your opponents turn, your land is not a creature, so Worship will do nothing, and animating on your opponent's turn doesn't seem like the best use of your mana. Or are you using Worship to not die from your own Glacial Chasm as well? Even that seems sketchy - there will be a period between cleanup and untap where the land is not a creature. Humility would be wicked though - manlands' power and toughness are unaffected by it.

- You probably don't have enough forest and plains to support Miss Reliquary (as great as she is), and the built-in recurusion of Eternal Dragon will serve you better.

- Maindeck Grip will catch people off guard, but I'd hate to dredge them away. Replace at least one with Ray of Revelation or Ray of Distortion - they have flashback.

Changes would go something like this:
-4 Sungrass Prairie
-3 Worship
-1 Krosan Grip
-1 Wrath of God

+2 Brushland
+2 Horizon Canopy
+3 Humility
+1 Ray of Distortion/Revelation
+1 Crop Rotation

Taking out the Wrath seems OK, because once Humility is down, your manlands accomplish virtually the same effect by being bigger.

Something I've wanted to try for a while in a similar shell is Vinelasher Kudzu and Steppe Lynx. They should get huge quickly with Exploration, Loaming, etc. And if you did play more creatures, then Genesis, Gigapede, and maybe Eternal Witness would be worth a look. But that's pretty much an entirely different deck at that point. But Gigapede could work in your current shell just fine - he's self-sufficient, blanks point removal, and doesn't mind being dredged. Good ol' Giggedy-pede, I call him.

The key to all the Lands! decks is total redundancy. You have literally 7 different ways of getting whatever you want or recurring what you need. Really don't build 43land. It can't deal with hate cards. Play Eternal Garden, much more consistent and able to win through numerous hate cards. But back to redundancy, you have 2x Gamble, 4x Burning Wish, and 3x Life from the Loam in the main ... thats a LOT of ways to get Loam. When trying to get any land you have 2x Gamble, 4x Burning Wish (for Gamble), and 3x Crop Rotation. That is what makes these decks work so well, they just keep coming and can deal with just about any situation that can be enountered.

There really isn't a point in building a budget version if you eventually plan on building the real deck. Play burn or whatever you have and win some store credit, save up your money and get a good deck built. You can play Tabernacle-less versions but they will be INCREDIBLY inferior to anything else.

Regarding your list, these decks don't function well without Mox Diamond. But since you have no Armageddon effects (which is what wins most of your games) then I guess you don't have to run it, but I still would. With your list I would try to make it specifically geared towards mana denial with 4x Ghost Quarter, 4x Port, and 4x Armageddon in the main. Humility is a lot better than Wrath and I prefer a single Eternal Dragon to Knight, simply because he has evasion and acts as a second utility because 80% of the time your wincon is just going farming anyway. You certainly picked the wrong deck to build a budget version of. Lands! variants are some of the most expensive decks to build and I would put them in the top 3 most difficult decks to play correctly in the format due to the amount of tutor decisions and how far in advance you have to be thinking all the time in order to win games.

@ grahf: I'm very confused about the humility/man lands interaction...though if it works I'll obviously take out worship. If not, I'll take out dragon and go gigapede+worship, as that's a much beter "lock" then my original man lands plan (tap a factory or vault to fog or pay chasm upkeep). I plan on testing out the land change in the near future, but activating them hasn't been a problem so far a I have 33 mana sources. I like the ray/grip split, I was going back and forth between them. Probably should put in a fourth crop, but with lots of aggro running around and no pendrall wrath seems necessary.

@ Pulp: After looking at eternal garden this is much more that playstyle then 43 land...and I do intend to get a tabernacle...just not this semester. Also, scratching Knight seems like a good idea...but i'm not sure about the total land destruction plan, but I could test it out. Just seems weak atm with merfolk (vial and many basics) and dredge (doesn't really need lands) being two big decks.

afaik--

Manlands choose a specific P/T (2/2 with mishra's, for example); humility does this as well, saying that everything is a 1/1 with no abilities. Because man-lands start out as lands, they still have their ability to become creatures. Once activated, they lose their abilities. Because there are two effects mandating a specific P/T, the last one applied will have priority and 'overwrite' the other ones. So when you activate Mishra's Factory with Humility in play, it becomes a 2/2 creature with no abilities until end of turn.

I agree with what was said above about Lands.dec being the hardest to "budget-ize". They're packed with expensive cards.

Also, spending money on Temple Gardens and such will just feel bad in the long run because they aren't really useful in Legacy while they still cost $7-8. A Savannah is a much better investment; also keep in mind in 3 years Temple Garden will rotate out of Ext. and become worth a lot less.

Thank you for the suggestions and clarifications, the decklist is updated. Also, it appears I should be able to borrow savannah/mox diamond.

The list is updated again...one question. Humility or dueling grounds? Grounds appears stronger overall as it is a soft lock with maze of it and less color intensive/cheaper, but humility stops progenitus and allows me to keep attacking.

Humility is a lot better since it stops Pridemage from ruining your day! Progenitus ... yeah, I wouldn't worry to much but overall Humility is a lot better.

Okay, so the list is somewhat updated to this since everyone agrees humility was my strongest enchantment. The trinisphere's have been very useful, though not sure if they're useful enough to use scapeshift over crop rotation. However, a midgame scapeshift is useful in getting rid of all my uneeded lands and bringing in beaters or maze's (or playing a worm harvest if I aven't seen a loam)...though I don't think i'm abusing it enough. Oh, it also helps against graveyard hate (tutors for needed lands in mass).

4 Life from the Loam
4 Exploration
4 Trinisphere
4 Wrath of God
3 Scapeshift
3 Humility
1 Worm Harvest
1 Burgeoning

4 Treetop Village
4 Mishra's Factory
4 Savannah
4 Brushland
4 Wasteland
4 Horizon Canopy
3 Ancient Tomb
3 Maze of Ith
2 Tranquil Thicket
1 Secluded Steppe
1 Riftstone Portal
1 Glacial Chasm
1 Nomad Stadium

SB:
4 Chalice of the Void (tendrils)
4 Leyline of the Void (dredge/mirror)
4 Ghostly Prison (aggro/dredge)
3 Rule of Law (combo)

I think you could use more acceleration than just Exploration. Burgeoning, Mox Diamond, whatever.

Ok, burgeoning looks good...but I only think I can really cut 1 of the worm harvest...hm...
