I had a large portion of Pro-Bant stolen this past Sunday in Rochester, NY.
4 tropical
3 Tundra
4 goyf
4 force
3 windeswept heath
1 flooded strand etc
I ask that any members in the area to keep an eye out for someone trading them on the cheap, or otherwise randomly acquiring a large portion amount of legacy staples, please give me a heads up.
Post or PM works.
Thanks

How did you lose a portion of it and not the whole thing?
Either way, I'm sorry to hear it. A buddy of mine had his deck swiped at a Gran Prix once, always blows.
BTW, welcome to The Source.

Any distinctive elements to the cards? FBB? Artist altered? Signed? Any marks or nicks that stand out?

You should PM the following Rochester people as well:
cdr
legacyplayer0
Gekoratel
Dr. Teeth
As a heads up.
Also, if you manage to find out who it is and the person who did it is a cross-dressing guy around 17 years old, let me know (as that's who made off with my Thresh deck about a year and a half ago)...
Also, where were you when this occured? Millennium?
Lastly, make sure you search eBay filtering by "Location: Nearest First" in case they're dumb enough to put them up there.

Talk about under the radar.

Reading these threads pisses me off. A friend of mine lost an entire Belcher deck to some douche a while back, and he had just finished it. Got to play it for like a tournament and a half. I really hope you get your cards back, dude.

If it was at a shop check with the shop, perhaps they have cameras. Maybe a police report?

I was at Jupiter once when someone's deck went missing, cameras found the guy and the deck and everything ended up cool.

Thanks for the welcome to the source, I have been lurking for a while.
Yes, it was at millenium.
It appears that they just wanted legacy cards or were interrupted as they left 4 m10 (non-promo) vampire nocturni in the next deck over. Frankly, I am surprised to have any decks at all considering someone had an opportunity to steal them.
I made the mistake of bringing in a trade binder and a deck box into a full store. I stepped outside with a friend, forgetting I brought both in. When I came back in, my deck seemed thin. Scrub move.
Probably not distinctive enough markings.
Distinctive markings, the Tundras are all revised ~ light play totally non distinctive.
The tropicals however are all NM revised. With only a single ding amung the set, on the back left bottom corner. Also probably unidentifiable.
The forces are also probably unidentifiable, but they were all damaged by a bad shuffler once. They have a crease (small) in the upper right hand corner, about a eight of an inch long. Its diagonal, dog-earing the corner right where the black border meets the blue coloring.

Sorry to hear about the loss. When I play even small events (15 or less). I always use a deck box and a play mat. Allows me to scoop up my whole setup with two folds of the playmat.
I'd check with the shop again. They have a vested interest in not having sealing occur in their store, whether it is their product or customer goods. Shops that become know for thievery aren't visited.

I generally try to avoid Millenium. When I was pretty young, I had a Yugioh deck stolen(in retrospect, they can have em, I had pissed on 'em 'cause they had fallen out of my pocket into the toilet), but yeah, I tend not to go there.
Boldo's Armory has friday legacy tournaments, more of a casual friendly setting. Completely free.

The sad part, is that is fucking legit. Happened when I was like 8. Deckbox in hoodie pocket, lean over to flush...and then my deck fell into my pisswater.

I just signed the rest of my dual lands. Possibly an extreme measure, but a small signature won't kill their value, and heck if I win enough it might improve their value.
