It is a simple question, but I just want to make sure I got it right. Can we play an enchantment aura like Pacifism on a creature with shroud?

Pacifism has "Enchant Creature" which is the equivalent off "Target a creature as you play this. This card comes into play attached to that creature".

You can't target creatures with Shroud and as such, you can't "Enchant creature". In general "Aura's" have Enchant X (where x is a permanent a player or a card in GY - did I miss any?) and as such they target.

That what I thought also, but this came up on Friday when our group was playing EDH. One guy insist he can use Pacifism on Multani.

I was doing some EDH research and Zur the Enchanter can search an 3 CMC enchantment and put it into play, but he can search for Pacifism and put it onto a shroud critter. Anyone can tell me the difference?

Zur puts the enchantment into play as opposed to the enchantment being cast. Shroud doesn't allow a creature to be targeted by the enchantment, but does allow it to stay enchanted.
