Bribery occurs when a player offers an incentive to entice an opponent into conceding, drawing, or changing the results of a match, or accepts such an offer. Refer to the Magic Tournament Rules for a more detailed description of what constitutes bribery.
Examples
A. A player in a Swiss round offers his opponent $100 to concede the match.
B. A player offers his opponent a card in exchange for a draw.
C. A player asks for a concession in exchange for a prize split.
D. Two players agree that the winner of the match will be able to choose a rare card out of the other person’s deck after the match.

Cheating?

There was no bribery involved at all. Players are allowed to divide the prize (and nothing else) when no other players can be affected, like in the finals.

In the finals that seems rather irrelevant. But yeah, he offered money in exchange for the concession.

But if you consider that the prize for the championship is the money prize + the champion title and that they came up with a value for the championship title. Then they simply split the whole thing evenly.

It could be that instead of giving him 100 and then splitting, they did an uneven split like 1400 and 1200 instead of 1300 and 1300.
