Where:
Richmond Comix
14249 Midlothian Turnpike
Midlothian VA 23113

When:
Saturday February 20th at 12:00 noon (doors open at 10:00 am)

If there are any questions you can contact Tommy Donovan at (804)594-2845 Wednesday - Sunday.

Just one week before Star City Games gives away $5,000 in their Legacy event, you'll have the opportunity to test your decks against the best that Richmond has to offer.

We will be allowing up to ten proxies and as such this will be a WPN event.

Entry Fee: $15

Prize breakdown is as follows:

1st place will get a playset of revised Plateaus.

2nd place will get one tournament pack and three boosters of Onslaught

3rd and 4th place will each receive two booster packs of Future Sight and two booster packs of Coldsnap

Due to the casual nature of the WPN tournaments our head judge for the event, Nic Turk will also be a player.

Proxy rules taken from the Star City Games forums.

What is the usual turnout for these events and will prize support be increased if a certain attendance is attained(same day as ptq SanJuan)?

Also, do you buy legacy cards or do trade ins?

This will be our first Legacy event. Our local players have been asking about trying out the format so we've put this together.

I don't see the SanJuan ptq affecting us here in Virginia.

We sometimes do trade credit but we aren't currently buying. If the Legacy scene here in VA becomes what we hope we will be buying in the future.

Looks like I and a few people of my crew should be making it down there. For proxies, do I need the full oracle text on the card, or can I just write the name on the face of a basic land?

The full oracle text is prefered but I'm flexable.

I'm probably bringing 5-6 myself, but I can't speak for the store's usual group

I want to thank everyone who came out for our first Legacy event. We had twenty players (and two dogs) for what I felt was an awesome day of Magic. I went 2-2 drop with my Dream Halls shenanigans and had a blast doing it. We will definitely be doing more of these in the future. Next month (3/20) we have a 15 proxy Vintage tournament for a Time Walk. I hope to see you guys for that one as well.
