During the last week end, I showed up to some of my friend some french merfolk that I've just bought because their french names were really funny.

One of my friend notice this :
When you move 5 out of the 8 merfolks, you can see in the name and in the card's text another text, from another german card.
It's really hard to see, it's almost the same color as the card's background.

One one of my silvergill adpet, when I move it to the light, I can see the name "Goblin fuhrer" and the text goblins king, but as I said it's really hard to see.
Anyone ever notice this ?

Can you post pictures? I've never heard of this happening.

I'm working on the picture, you will only able to see the german language in some spot of the picture where there is some lights.

I'll try to change the contrast if it doesn't work.

Notice that it's in the corner, but it does this all over the card (except the image) when there's light on it...

That pretty legit.
I have seen cards with the back of magic cards faded on them but not this.

Wow, that's really cool. Maybe post in MTGS's misprint thread (http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=75684). Someone might know more about them.

It's quite possibly leftover ink. The german cards were printed first, and then the press was not cleaned well enough before the next batch. I've seen older cards before that were doubled with the same text slightly offset.

This man is correct.

It's a bit like how some cards are printed identically twice, but with the first printing being very faint so it seems like there is some double-imaging. The Charlie Brown misprints are exactly like this too. It's pretty cool that a merfolk card has a goblin printing though.

Thanks for the information.
I've not seen anything like this before, so I thought it could be nice to share even though it probally doesn't worth anything.

That's an interesting misprint. I'm sure there is someone out there who collects things like that.

I never opened any misprints, but I have a Weathered Wayfarer that has the top inch of the card rigged where they accidently sealed the pack on it. Come to think of it, I probably can't even legally play it.
