Some of you may know this already, but I just wanted to introduce DeckStats.net (http://deckstats.net/index.php?lng=en) here.

On one hand, you can use this tool to analyze your deck and get statistics about its mana distribution, card types, price and so on. This will be displayed in handy charts, like for example here: http://deckstats.net/deck-36141-72adb921a19823d2877ea48bee8cb67f-en.html

But also, you can use the linker tool (http://deckstats.net/index.php?lng=en&linker=1) to link the card names in your deck list, so it is easier for other users to read. For example, with the above deck list, you would get (mana symbols are optional):

Deck: Zoo (http://deckstats.net/deck-36149-72adb921a19823d2877ea48bee8cb67f-en.html)

I'm pretty sure almost all of those functions are present in MWS. But useful for quickly checking stuff like this for lists you find on the net, I s'pose

Most of them are, yes, but this way you don't actually have to start MWS to check something and you can show the deck to other people by giving them the link.

That's just some example I grabbed from the DTB forums ;)

I have heard people talking about Dark Confidant and ACM. However, some bring up "variance" when talking about him. Whatever that is, can you show it statistically.

(essentially 10 1mcc, 10 3mcc is not the same as 20 2mcc)

This doesn't really have much to do with the site, but I guess while it is the same on average, in reality if you have 1cc/3cc you might only get 1cc or only 3cc during the entire game by chance. I'm not really an expert on this though, so someone else might know better.

I have made a few small improvements to the site over the last few weeks, including:
- The site should load much faster now, especially with long lists
- There is a new optional "short url" for each deck that only has around 20 characters (http://deck.tk/...)
- New editions (M11, ...) are included and fully supported
- And http://deckstats.net/ auto-detects your language now, so no more involuntary German lessons ;)

Let me know is there is anything else to do!

Where does the site check the prices? Some of them seem a bit off.

None the less. I love the site. It's great for checking out how well your manabase works out.

Which prices exactly did you find to be off? And in what way?

The German prices come from www.miraclegames.de (a big German MTG shop), the US ones from MagicTraders.com. Obviously they will be a bit higher than "street prices" but generally they should be fairly accurate.

The European prices seemed a bit high on some cards. But seeing as they come from a shop's site. This is understandable.

Yeah, if it uses MOTL for US prices, it should be using magiccardmarke.eu for european ones.

Do you know if magickartenmarkt provides some sort of API that allows me to get all the prices from their database?

If there is, I should be able to add their prices to the page.

After several weeks of work I'm happy to announce that I just updated DeckStats.net (http://deckstats.net/) to the latest version!

The most important changes:
Discuss decks: You can now post comments about decks!
Short URLs: The deck.tk short URLs are back and more reliable now.
Prices: The US card prices are now more accurate and complete.
Layout: The deck statistics now use a tabbed layout which should make it much easier to navigate.
Improved deck lists: Comments on single cards as well as OCTGN decks are now supported.
To the new DeckStats.net! (http://deckstats.net/)

Please post your feedback here or in the feedback forums (http://forum.deckstats.net/index.php/board,2.0.html)!

Good job. I like the site as it's a solid tool to get some relevant basic statistics and starting hand information with little effort wherever you are. Good that you got rid of the thick black card borders, they somehow messed the sample hand generator up and basically made the site unusable for me. Now it looks a lot better.

Thanks!

I have made a few more changes to the site over the last few weeks, including a new Visual Spoiler view, card probabilities up to turn 10 and an improved mobile version. We also have a Facebook site (http://www.facebook.com/deckstats) now, where I will post future updates and respond to any questions you might have! :)

The question he's asking is vague. It's an extrapolation of a hyper geometric distribution problem, and it evolves as the game moves forward. You can calculate each upkeep the chance of your Bob trigger hitting a CC given your hand, graveyard, exile and remaining instances of that CC in your library.

There have been a few more big updates recently:

Our US pricing data now comes from TCGPlayer, which should provide much more accurate prices
There is now a Buy this Deck button that lets you put all the cards in your deck straight into your TCGPlayer shopping cart
You can now save your decks under a permanent URL so that you can easily bookmark and share them

Enjoy! :)

It has been over four years since I posted this topic so I have added a lot of new features to the site in the mean time! :)

Just to mention a few highlights:

A new Interactive Deckbuilder (http://deckstats.net/deckbuilder/), that allows you quickly find the right cards for you deck and add them using Drag + Drop
The option to download a DCI Deck Registration Sheet for your deck as a PDF, including your name and DCI number
A big deck database with many search options (http://deckstats.net/decks/search/), including the cost of the deck
Improved support for mobiles and tablets

Please have a look and let me know what you think! - http://deckstats.net/

I'm showing the set for my duals is revised, but the price it's pulling is for unlimited. Is this normal?

Also being able to sort by card type on the deck download sheet would be grand. However this looks awesome!

Just to let you know, there have been a lot of updates to the site again recently! In particular we have a new layout now, including an optional side bar that shows you the latest events on the site.

The deck search has also been extended with a lot of options (cards, deck price, tags, ...) and sorting of decks into folders has become a lot more convenient since you can now just drag+drop your decks into the folders. In addition there are many smaller improvements, like being able to print DCI deck sheets that already have your name and DCI number on them and cards from upcoming sets being added to the database as soon as they are spoiled, so you can design decks with them already.

So please have a look at http://deckstats.net/ and let me know what you think! :)
