I understand that it has some value as a removal card in Standard, but what exactly does it do for Legacy?

I've seen brief references to it, but I havn't quite seemed to find a place for it to go - or do anything at all.

The real question is: Should I go ahead and sell my two Pulses while the market is still good for them(around 10$ apiece on eBay), or should I hold onto them because they actually have a purpose?

After seeing the world wake spoiler I doubt jund is not going to be tier one still so I doubt the price of the card will decrease.
I mean they didn't print a card to make maelstrom pulse worse.

Aggro Loam plays them. Eva Green, Rock, and other bad midrange decks might play them.

I find utility spells often maintain more value than creatures. I'm surprised cards like Intuition, Vindicate, Orim's Chant, etc. have maintained $10+ price tags. All three of those cards see some play, but aren't exactly Swords to Plowshares level of ubiquitousness. The same may be true with Pulse. Also, Pulse is going to be Extended legal for a while... not that I follow Extended, but I imagine a Vindicate-like card there would see play.

Instead of selling them, trade them away on MOTL while the MOTL price guide still says $16.

Troll and Toad pays $14 on them if you want to sell them. I run 2 in my black countertop deck and they are pretty damn good. They are vastly superior to putrefy and can completely blow people out. That being said, they are still one of the weakest cards in the deck, but imo black countertop is the best version of countertop so I'd rather own pulse than progenitus or noble hierarch.

Maelstrom Pulse in CounterTop seems pretty meh to me. I play Natural Order in Supreme Blue so I wouldn't really consider playing a sorcery speed three mana removal spell, but I could see it fitting in the spot of Rhox War Monk. The card has value because of T2/ Extended where the card is by comparison much more powerful. Right now is not when you should get rid of the card if you are planning on it because it will remain in T2 for a while, but it will almost definitely drop to a more reasonable rate after it's not in Standard down to somewhere in the 10ish range.
