View Full Version : How bad is the bend on FTV: exiled?
So I was thinking about picking up some foils from FTV: exiled but I was wondering if they bend just as bad as the first FTV: dragons or if they improved the foiling process. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

In my experience they're just as bendy.

I've opened two copies of FtV: Exiled and I haven't seen even a slight bend in the cards. As with most foils you run into the biggest problems if they sit around for a long time without any sort of pressure on them. Mine went directly from box to sleeve/9-pocket which I would suspect is the reason they haven't bent. If you're planning to open a new box and stick the cards right in a deck I'd say you should be fine - I'd be wary though of buying (any individual foils) online as most sellers, even reputable ones, will list foils as NM/Mint even if they have a bend.

I cracked one and put most of them into a 300 ct. of random playables and two or three into decks. They ones put in the box warped far more than any of my other foils (I never got FTV:Dragons), and the ones I put in decks have become about as bad over time. So yeah, they can get wicked bendy.

As with all foils, it very much depends on the humidity where you keep them. But for what it's worth, I got a set of Berserks and they're still completely flat, very happy with them.

I haven't had a problem with the ones I have. I bought a set of Mysticals and Petals to play with and then 10 sets of sealed ones to sell and none of them have developed the bendyness. I guess it's all about the humidity. My house is dry and I don't leave cards out in my car.
Thanks for the help everyone! I think I might take some chances here.

zero problems so far. straight into kmc perfects, then into yanomans. no bends or warping.
