This almost came up so I am wondering what would happen.

A normal draft is happening and someone gets a bloody nose without noticing. The blood gets on some of the cards in a pack. What is the procedure at this point? The cards are obviously damaged and potentially hazardous, so what would happen at a local event, or even a high level event.

People expect to keep the cards they draft, so what happens if something expensive gets compromised? Is it the bloody nose player's responsibility to replace the cards or are they just gone for good.

Incidentally, this is why a good judge won't allow food or drink on the drafting table.

There's no hard and fast rule, it depends on where we are in the draft, how the cards are damaged, and how many. The tournament organizer has a few options, like starting the pack over, finishing the draft and issuing proxies for damaged cards, or fixing the damaged cards mid-draft and continuing. It's very situational.
