I am mostly interested in Stinging licid. Under some situations it can be used as finishing move. Dont know some things about summoning sickness around these parasites...

Lets say i have played Licid this turn. I am sure that if it doesnt have haste somehow it is affected by summoning sickness and it cannot attack or be tapped. One full round has passed.

My opponent has just declared his attackers. Licid, now without summoning sickness is declared as blocker, but before the damage will be done it will turn it into enchantment and enchant one of the creatures opposing. As long i know blocked creature will be blocked while not damage will be dealt? I will aprecciate some comments about deathtouch or trample in this specific situation.

Also when the licid will turn back into creature will it be affected by summoning sickness? It has not entered the battlefield, it has just become different type of permanent. So from examples like Darksteel Brute i believe it will be unaffected by it.

If so i would like to know if it is good deal to make 2 damage to opponent, while keep myself protected from single attacking creature - no matter if combo is active or not.

When you block an attacking creature, it stays blocked no matter what happens to your blocker. If your blocker is no longer a creature, then it is removed from combat, and it wont take any combat damage. The attackers blocked by such creatures will deal no combat damage at all. It doesn't matter if they have deathtouch or first strike. However, if they have trample, then all of the damage will go to you. With trample, as soon as all blockers have recieved lethal damage, the rest may be dealt to the defending player. If there are no blockers, then it can all go to the defender.

The licid will not be affected by summoning sickness after it turns back into a creature. Even if it was enchanting your opponent's creature, you have still controlled the licid/enchantment the whole time. Even if it's not a creature, summoning sickness wears off at the beginning of your turn.

Just to clarify, (and after looking up the specifics of what Stinging Licid does), you can cause 2 damage per turn and always block an opponent's creature. Simply keep the licid as an aura on the opponent's creature by default. When the opponent attacks, take the licid off, block, and then put it back on. On your turn, the licid/aura untaps and will be ready to be used again the next time your opponent attacks.

Pretty nice dealing 2 damage and preventing some damage for 3 mana per turn.

And with infinite cards combo with Mind over matter, larger amount of cards discarded will finish off the game either :) The more complicated question will now be where should i place it to deck. The deck is full now... :)
