View Full Version : [Budget Tournament] -- Round 3

This is the 3rd of 5 rounds.

Rounds will officially start on 12:01 AM Monday GMT+7 and end on 12:01 AM Sunday GMT+7 of each week.

All players must acknowledge within the "Round X" thread that they intend to play and have contacted their opponent for scheduling purposes within 2 days of the beginning of a round (I think this is fair). If you haven't posted within 48 hours of the start of a round (and given an acceptable amount of time to schedule a match), then you take a loss unless your opponent has mercy on you for "showing up late".
If both players show initiative and try to schedule a match, but it never results in actually playing the match, then it will be a draw.
Any player who doesn't communicate in some form or another during a round will be dropped from the tournament.
This is a fairly casual tournament, so play with somewhat relaxed rules and be charitable please.

I haven't talked to Illussius yet, but I assume that we were both just busy with different time zones and what not. I had some school engagements that made me unable to play. I guess this makes it a draw and I hope that he and I will both win our next round so that we can play two weeks from now when we will both be less busy.

I win 2-0 against xTrainx -- we had a serious connection problem very far into game 2, but because the gamestate was extremely favorable for me, xTrainx graciously scooped.

Interesting how as a tournament goes on, a lot of cards can fluctuate in value.
My deck is still worth 48-51, the deck I played against is currently at least 75+

Also, don't misconstrue as me complaining lol, it is just something I noticed.

With the numbers you said, it's definitely over 100$. (best investment ever, if it was not on MWS...)

As my 2 first rounds were noshows, these were my first 2 games with the deck. And actually, I felt like my budget deck was better than the legacy one. It was really a no match. I'm sorry for you Yawg07.

So thechubbymuffin and I finally managed to grab hold of each other. I won the first game, he won the second; neither of them were very close. The third game was still in an indeterminate state -- without knowing his hand, I was in a tentatively-winnable position -- when he had an emergency come up and had to leave, and said he's giving me the win, which is very nice of him.

Took a bit, but we finished the round. Notes:

Ssbm Rocks1 did reply one time (the starting day), but was clearly not participating this round (as we had an extended round). I did not strike him from the tournament (as he did post in the thread), but I did award Roman Candle the win.

This round has ended.
