Same location as the Mox tournament in December.

Thanks for Playing
3520 Worthington Blvd.
Frederick, MD 21704

Tournament starts at Noon on 3/14. Please remember this is the first day of Daylight Savings Time!!

**Be careful if you GPS the address, there have been reports of various GPS brands sending you to the wrong place. For a reality check, the store is located approximately 1/2 mile from the Urbana, MD exit (#26) off I-270.

Here is the prize support as announced by the store owner.

Guaranteed @ 20 Participants
1st - 2 Duals Tropical island revised, Tundra Unlimited, one Jace
2nd - 4 DCI foil Chrome Mox 1x Bayou (Revised)
3rd - 2x Scrubland (Revised)
4th - 4x Orim's Chant
5th - 8th 4x Booster packs

Over 32 people I'll add the FOIL Jitte, and booster packs.

Last tournament we had was the day after the first snow storm, and we still had 22 people show up to play!

Oh, and also, I'll be judging instead of playing so you can leave your Storm hate at home! ;)

Can you update? Depending on prizes, I'll probably go to this event.

March 14? Ugh, guess I can take a day off from playing FFXIII to show up. Or just beat it in 5 days.

Prize update forthcoming. Sorry to wait so long before providing an update - the store owner has been working to acquire prize support and didn't want to commit to offering prizes that he didn't yet posess.

I was planning on going to this, the prize suppoet looks good. But I'd only be going to hit on DiTizio, and play against Jimmy P. And if he's not playing..........

How much for entry? Decklist will be required, correct?

Thanks

Damon - Ditizio will still be there ;) maybe you could bring Krieger along for some extra man-on-man action

Entry fee is $20, and yes, decklists will be required.

Been there, done that. If Krieger wants my sloppy seconds, then that's fine.

I have yet, to beat you in a tournament however. That would be my primary motivation for coming.

HEY JIMMY!

You didn't give a start time!

Hmm...I wish T8 prizes were a bit fairer spread out - I suppose we could all split and play out for fun, though.

Starts at noon (and don't forget that Sunday is the beginning of daylight savings time).

So are people going to this? I hate doing anything on a Sunday but I've been itching to lose to a bunch of people after paying money...

Confirming that the event does indeed start @ Noon on Sunday 3/14. Sorry for the oversight - original post has been modified to reflect this.

So if Jimmy really isn't playing, then I'm winning this thing. So does I get a Jace 1, or Jace 2 for first?

It's Jace, the Mind Sculptor, so I guess that's Jace #2

Fun tourney overall and I had a great time playing magic all weekend. I am definitely looking forward to more legacy events you guys have with this kind of prize support and convenient pizza oven.

Perhaps this time I should play a deck that doesn't fail as hard as dreadstill; but what fun would that be?

I had an awesome time. I'm hoping for larger prize support next time; there was a very nice turnout for a relatively modest payout. If prizes were upped and more duals were included, I can guarantee more players would show to this.

And the pizza oven was absolutely epic. Awesome, awesome time.

Yeah, I loved how cheap the pizza was.

Also wish there was better prize support. I'm also definitely on ANT next time unless the meta significantly shifts.
