That's not really a question, since it's just two cards. There's a policy to be more specific about your interactions, since there are many ways those two could interact. For instance: yes, you can equip the basilisk collar to the magma phoenix.

But anyway, to answer the question I'm forced to assume that you have: No, it doesn't work. Basilisk Collar is not equipped when Magma Phoenix is in the graveyard, so the damage is dealt after it's unequipped.

Yes, you will gain life and yes, everything damaged by Magma Phoenix will die. Because the Phoenix is no longer on the battlefield, we use last known information to determine the source of the damage. When Magma Phoenix left the battlefield, it was equipped by Basilisk Collar and thus had lifelink and deathtouch, and so everything dies and you gain life.

Note that this used to be different under pre-M10 rules, when lifelink and deathtouch were triggered abilities (the creature needed to be around and have those abilities when damage resolved, otherwise they wouldn't trigger).
