Here's a deck I got the idea for when someone mentioned Jhoira being used to suspend Kozilek, Butcher of Truth into play in the single card discussion thread on TMD. I threw this together without testing and know it needs work, but I like the idea of a stasis build that uses the suspend mechanic as I think they work really well together. Here's the deck, besides Jhoira it's mono blue.
Lands: 15
4 Forsaken City
4 Volcanic Island
3 Island
4 Scalding Tarn

Creatures: 7
2 Jhoira of the Ghitu
2 Chronatog
1 Meloku the Clouded Mirror (can be suspended and bounces lands back to your hand to keep stasis alive while providing an alternate win-con)
2 Kozilek, Butcher of Truth
2 Fathom Seer

Other spells: 38
4 Lotus Bloom
4 Chrome Mox
1 Mind Over Matter
4 Stasis
4 Force of Will
2 Ponder
2 Meditate
4 Daze
4 Ancestral Vision
4 Brainstorm
2 Orb of Dreams (was originally Frozen Aether)
2 Amulet of Vigor (here for synergy with orb of dreams)

This deck needs alot of improvement I realize, does anyone think Trinisphere would work here? Also, is a stasis deck even plausible right now? This was originally thrown together for vintage and the legacy list I just posted is alot rougher too (I had to cut gush, which I thought was actually legal in legacy and should be legal in legacy IMO, frantic search, time vault, voltaic key, black lotus, ancestral, twister and on color moxen which were replaced by chrome mox, an extra lotus bloom, brainstorm, ponder, and fathom seer). What do you think? Also are there other prison/suspend cards that could be added? I realize this sucks against dredge too.

You could try and cheat Kozilek in with Copper Gnomes or Arcum Dagsson. But that would require a different shell...

It's not an artifact though, otherwise this would be a MUD deck running metalworkers and maybe eye of ulgin and building around Kozilek would be alot easier. It's just such a damn tempting card. I should also mention that using Jhoira to cheat it out lets you draw the 4 cards and gives it haste which makes a huge difference.

It seems to me that the best way to cheat Kozilek into play might be trying to put him into an Elves-combo style deck. You could cheat him into play with Summoning Trap and/or just by using the amazing mana-production abilities of the Elves. Not to mention Worldly Tutor works pretty well with Summoning Trap, although that might be getting too cute.

Bottom line: Jhoira seems very very fragile.

I'm not looking to make another elf combo deck. Should I run more Jhoiras to counter the fact that they're easily removed? Once you resolve 1 Jhoira and activate it once (for Kozilek) even if Jhoira is removed after activation a hasty uncounterable anhilliahting beater is on the way to say gg. I think an elves combo type deck has grapeshot as a good enough win-con (aside from lots of elves attacking). I'm looking to build a prison aggro deck and would like to know how to do so with Jhoiras and a prison build and if it can't be done it can't be done.

If you're going to post a thread around a spoiled card, it might be helpful to either link to the spoiled card or at least sketch it out so people don't have to go digging to find out what you're talking about. I think the real question here is "What does Kozilek do that can't be done better with another card?" In this case, he draws cards and he beats for the win. However, you're looking at turn 7 before he even hits play (turn 2 Jhoira with Mox of some sort, turn 3 remove, turn 7 upkeep resolves). Stasis is cute, but it's not going to have a real effect on most decks, they'll either Pridemage through it or win with some sort of combo (Iona on blue ruins your day). Skipping turns also seems to work poorly with suspend cards.

Basically, you're running a bunch of bad cards with questionable synergies in the hopes that you can lock someone down with massive effects, but you've got two separate themes here and they don't mix well. I can't see this deck ever getting off the ground.

Damn, I didn't even think about the dissynergy between suspend and skipping turns. I guess this deck idea is dead...
