Show and Tell and Stingscourger

If my opponent plays show and tell and drops a creature into play, and I put stingscourger into play, will I be able to bounce his creature with stingscourgers ability or will I not have a legal target yet? Assuming there are no creatures in play before the show and tell.

By the time Stingscourger's ability goes on the stack, both creatures are already in play, so you can target their creature just fine.

SS's ability triggers during the resolution of S&T, but it gets put on the stack only after S&T has finished resolving, as state-based actions are checked. Since you pick targets for a triggered ability when it gets put on the stack, by then you'll be able to choose Iona / whatever as its target.

The answer is: yes.
Creatures enter play during Show and Tell resolution, and triggered abilities don't go to the stack until the spell has finished resolving. At that point, both Stingscourger and your opponent's creature are in the battlefield and can see each other.
