View Full Version : UWB Vial Allies mill route

I've seen alot of ally decks floatin around online and thought I would post this one a friend and I came up with a while back... I've play tested it alot and played it in 1 18 player tournament. I ended up going 3-2 with the wins being against Mono Blue Fish, Zoo, and Mono Black Pox. The two losses were to Countertop survival and B/W control.

Any thoughts are welcome

Aether Vial seems a little silly with only 9 creatures. Care to explain card choices?

Sure, Don't think of vial as great because of only 9 creatures. The reason why I'm going the vial route is because 6 of the 9 creatures are 2 drops and vial is a way around standstill. Basically I'm wanting to run this as a manland standstill deck and everytime I vial in a creatuer I get insane benifits... I either gain X life, Mill X cards or get Protection for my critters for a team swing. All of this under the protection of a standstill that my opponents have to break. I really liked the idea of putting situational allies(allies that do something other than get +1/+1 counters) into the fish vial back end(vial, standstill, fow, jitte, etc...)

with jittes especially I don't care if I have a huge hoard of critters or not, 3 or 4(including manland) will work just fine. I've tinkered around with running up to 15 critters and taking out the counters but it seems to work better as a midranged deck than straight aggro like fish. The other creatures that were there when I ran more was the 3x ally shape shifters, and I put the cleric and excavator's to 4. Again that's at the cost of taking out the Fow, Daze package.

That's why I wanted to put this one for advice, not real sure on exactly where to go with it to make it the most solid.
