Ok, I'm playing MWS at the moment, and following question is discussed:

If my yard looks like this (from top to bottom)

Land
Black card
Land
Black card
Black card

Am I able to remove the 3 black cards to pay for Spinnings' alternate cost?
In other words:
Does it matter if there are nonblack cards in between?

No. It doesn't matter if there are non-black cards in between. Only that you remove the three top-most black cards.
