If you check out the mtgsalvation forums, you might be familiar with their new structure in the Standard forums. I assume most of you don't play T2, so here's a quick rundown:
- the "decks to beat" forum is further splitted into a subforum for each archetype
- within these subforums, each issue concerning the archetype is discussed in a separate thread
So basically, you get a new layer of subforums for the DTB, each DTB has its own little forum. What's the advantage of this structure?
1. you don't have to plow through thousands of posts to find relevant information
2. discussion is more focused, and thus of higher quality
3. the same topics don't get brought up over and over again, reducing spam posts
4. specific questions and issues are easier to find
Because doing this for all the decks is not feasible, I would only recommend this for the DTB. It might seem convoluted at first, but basically, you only have to click one more time to get to the place you want, which is a drawback I can easily live with in exchange for a more focused, higher quality discussion.
Thoughts?
