After the set review of RoE, just on a lark, I checked Karakas at SCG...... $30!

Mine were like $5 about 2 yrs ago. Did the 1x SB slot in Lands! really jack it that quick?

Any other price jumpers that flew under the radar are open for discussion.... (see Show & Tell, I know its b/c UB Reanimator)

Karakas jumped in price because it's the only way to get rid of Iona for some decks and a lot of people started picking them up.

I think Show and Tell actually went up because of that janky Dream Halls deck. It probably held value when everyone realized that deck was bad because of Reanimator though.

Just last year, Underground Seas were about $40-50. Now, they're $80-90 (based on SCG)

Also, its BB counterparts go for $800!

I blame that from the Reprint Policy getting set on stone.

Also, Entomb used to be a $5-7 card (when it was banned). Now its $40-45. I still regret not picking up that playset on my local store. They were $5 each. But that was when the card was still banned.

Now I have a playset of Legends version of Land Tax, just in case it happens to Land Tax.

You might want to pick up a set right now. Don't forget we are getting an Artifact based expension (if you follow the rumors) and who knows what kind of broken equipment will be in the set?

Even if it isn't playable in Legacy (the new equipment, Mystic is already played in a couple of decks), the cards will rise becasue of added interest from the Standard/Extended croud.

Sneak attack also doubled in price the last two weeks, it went from 11.50euro to 22.50euro(17$ to30$).At scg and other sites they're still valued at around 18$ to 20$ but they're out of stock everywhere.

I own eighteen copies of Pyromancer Ascension for whenever somebody builds a proper combodeck around it.
Oh, and twelve Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle since that'll go up in price as Scapeshift becomes more popular and Zendikar stops being printed. I'd also suggest nabbing the new fetches, since they'll go up at that time too.
and I've a set of played Chain Lightnings that I got for 3 Thoughtseizes. Shit will be cash eventually.
And a foil Stifle that nobody wants for whatever reason, despite its constant price hike (I'm literally pricing it at $30 on Salvation and MOTL right now)
and while I share my magic money woes, there's an FBB Sylvan Library that's about to sell for $.99 on Ebay. It's mine.
Good news is, Cataclysm is starting to climb and I've already got my set ready and waiting for me to get a set of Savannahs so I can play Terrageddon.
Also, in the world of mindless price hikes, keep an eye on the better Hideaway lands, there's Eldrazi in thems there hills.
EDIT: Holy crap, 'Clysm isn't <$1 anymore? And since when are Portal Armageddons worth $7? I got mine for a dollar about 6 months ago.
