I am new to legacy so please, if this line of thought is stupid, just say so :)

Does this card have a place in legacy?
Aggro loam?-cascading into mox diamond or chalice kind of sucks tho.
Natural order Jund? Could work in a midrange kind of way.
Boombust zoo like in extended?

What about in a Green Chalice or dragon stompy like deck. How sweet would cascading into an early trinisphere be...pretty good, only mitigated by how bad cascading AFTER an early trinisphere is? Bloodmoon or magus of the moon could work here as well...

Has anyone worked on a list like this?

4 wasteland
4 Ancient tomb
x city of traitors?
4 simian spirit guides
4 bloodbraid elf
4 magus of the moon
3 bloodmoon
3 trinisphere?
2 jitte

Or maybe it wants to go with natural order prog.

4 wasteland
4 ancient tomb
x city of traitors
4 elvish spirit guide
4 chalice of the void or bloodmoon...
3 trinisphere
4 bloodbraid elf
2 garruk
1 progenitus
4 natural order
Other dudes...maybe finks...maybe needs birds of paradise...maybe wants spawnwrithe, boom bust, stone rain, or w/e.

The problem is controlling your cascades AND accelerating is tricky.

bbraid into spirit guides or chalice hurts too much to make bbraid stompy...i think...

I would consider these cards...

bbraid
tarmo
burning tree shaman
boom/bust
trinisphere
ohran viper
natural order/prog
blood moon
garruk
terravore
4x ancient tomb/3 city of traitors
4x wasteland and maybe even rishadan port

Would be sweet in an R/G madness deck featuring Vengevine. Use Wild Mongrel and (insert other cheap madness enabler) to dump them early, a turn 3 (with acceleration) Elf into Goyf with Vengevine in the yard is pretty sick. Your board position:

BOP
Elf
Goyf
Vengevine
Wild Mongrel

with no prominent board sweepers this is faster than almost any deck can keep up with.

Not very consistent, but very explosive when it works.

Thread needs more capitalization.

BoP is bad with cascade, so are most forms of removal. If you want to go an aggro route then burn is okay for your removal, but you need to play lots of small creatures, so it's going to end up like zoo.

To capitalize on him you need to be running a curve that focuses on 3 cost game-turners, like Vedalken Shackles (probably hard to use so many islands) and big equipment (SoLS SoFI even Grafted Wargear)

Zoo maybe? Cascading into a Goyf, PtE, Bolt? Hell every card in Zoo can be cascaded. Seems pretty slow though IMHO.

Survival of the Fittest. They are great against control. Of course you can get Birds or Vial, but also Survival, Kitchen Finks, SB Krosan Grip, etc.

It sucks in legacy because there is all these good 1cc, 2cc spells that you wanna play in your deck and that suck when flipped of a Bloodbraid Elf. The best of use of Bloodbraid Elf I can remember was is some 5 Color Cascade deck where ir only flipped 3cc spells like Esper Charm and Maelstrom Pulse. I'd think something like Ranger of Eos would see play 100 times before Bloodbraid dooes.
