A lotta arogant people think burn is stupid. But if you add draw spells, it cna be really good. I mean card draw is smart, right?


Card choice Explanations
------------------------
Phyrexian Tyranny: The best card in the deck, it turns all your draw spells into burn. I mean really.

Words of War: This is the back up to Tyranny.

Kederekt Parasite is a mini-underworld dreams, and because the deck packs 7 red enchantments, its ability it's likely to be active. It buys time by chump blocking, and can trick the opponent into not siding out his removal for game 2.


Lotus Petal/Simian Spirit Guide: Required to win fast and to reduce your hand before playing Winds of Change (to avoid killing yourself too much with Tyranny).

Standstill: best draw spell in the format.

The rest are card drawing spells that can double as direct damage. Use them on you on the early game, and later use them on your opponents.




I'm not sure how the deck compares against the field, so that's why Im postin it here, cause I could actually use some help for once. I may just scrap the deck tho, idk.

my concern is the lack of hand that you have, because none of your symmetrical draw effects net you anything, plus you need to deny yourself draws or get burned.


Also, I like it a lot. It reminds me of turbo-fog without giving you're opponent CA

This. I mean, you have to have a way to justify all those Lotus Petals and Simian Spirit Guide other than Phyrexian Tyranny, am-I-right?

And plus, if there's not room for it in the main-deck, throw that motherfucker in the side, and boom! Transformative sideboard. Also use Ebony Owl Netsuke and Viseling, and your opponent won't know which way is up or down. It would be impossible to sideboard correctly against this, especially for Lich.

EDIT: Even better, toss in Donate + Reliquary Tower. And maybe splash green for Storm Seeker. I mean, playing Lotus Petal basically means you can splash any color anyways...

Yeah I agree on the combo Donate+Reliquary Tower, and it's also 'on-colour' with the rest of the deck, but by any means replacing Standstill obviously, it's the core of this strategy.

I have to say, the concept of this deck really intrigues me.

It seems like Bloodchief Ascension might be able to work in here, maybe with some burn instead of some of the (opponent's) draw to make sure it charges faster?
