I've got a question regarding Thalakos Dreamsower. Here's the latest oracle text.
Thalakos Dreamsower
Creature - Thalakos Wizard 1/1, 2U (3)
Shadow (This creature can block or be blocked by only creatures with shadow.)
You may choose not to untap Thalakos Dreamsower during your untap step.
Whenever Thalakos Dreamsower deals damage to an opponent, tap target creature. That creature doesn't untap during its controller's untap step for as long as Thalakos Dreamsower remains tapped.
Illus. Susan Van Camp
Gatherer Card Rulings?, Legality?
10/4/2004: Can be used on a creature that is already tapped.
Bolded the sentence I'm interesting in, doesn't this sentence structure mean you can untap the Dreamsower and attack again to lock down another creature and keep both tapped; as the Dreamsower have remained tapped during the creature's controller's untap step... The sentence's structure seem to imply it only checks the Dreamsower's status during untap step.
In other words:
~that doesn't untap during next untap step as long ~this remains tapped --> multiple locks?
vs.
As long as ~this remains tapped, ~that doesn't untap during next untap step --> single lock?
