[Article] Magic Online Legacy Weekly Metagame Report 05-03-2010

Hey all, I know there has been growing interest in Legacy on Magic Online, but no one has really written anything about it or been talking about the metagame. For a new (hopefully) weekly column on TP I will be analyzing every single Legacy Online tournament I can on a weekly basis and providing you all with an actual report on what the metame consists of, and how each deck is performing. Here's our first foray into the breakdown of what's being played:

This isn't a report of unique decks that are seeing online play, but more a look at exactly the numbers of each archetype that is being played and what is performing. I am looking to publish this every Monday, and perhaps a companion column on another day of the week talking more about some of the more interesting decks or choices that were played that week.

Astral Slide, highest performing deck by % at 0.60. (excluding decks that only saw play once)

That's a lot of diligent work! Thank you for all the record keeping.

I would suggest to make some graphs, or tables to make the data easier to read. Perhaps just columns to separate the data.

Maybe also some tables showing best avg finish for the metagame week.

It would be cool to have like a weekly/monthly "Top 5 of the best performing decks on MOL". The creation of this database is going to have a HUGE value for the Legacy comunity.

AggroLoam RGB – 3 players; average 11.00 points per player; 3 money finishes (1.00 times per playing the deck)
CounterTop UGW – 2 players; average 9.00 points per player; 2 money finishes (1.00 times per playing the deck)
Astral Slide BGW Junk – 5 players; average 6.60 points per player; 3 money finishes (.60 times per playing the deck)
