View Full Version : Eudemonia Legacy Tournament - Berkeley, CA - 5/23
I'm not the TO, but I noticed it on their site (http://community.eudemonia.net/content/upcoming-events) and wanted to get the word out.
$20 entry, that's all I know.

Most likely being judged by Ryan. Prize was in cash the last time they ran a series of Legacy tournaments, but those ended in 2008.
Good luck to the competitors. If I were still around, I would come. Damn it, why does Legacy pick up after I graduate?

Same dad as Superstars Vintage this month, that will likely decrease the turnout; although, I haven't been to one of the legacy events at Eudo, maybe it's a different crew?

There's probably a significant chunk of people who overlap between the two. Legacy will attract a few people specific to that format, but not enough to make it not a total flop. You'd be better off contacting the store and telling them pronto to try to get them to postpone it.

Last tournament it rained too. What a series of unfortunate events. I hope they're not using these tournaments strictly to evaluate the legacy popularity in the bay area- and cancel them again.

The reason they cancelled them last time was because the metagame left to attend college in Pennsylvania. If Sam Blau came back, he could easily loan 5-6 decks out (which is what he was doing before).
It's the Bay Area, home of infinite PTQ Crawlers. If there were a Legacy PTQ, there would tons of interest - but there aren't any, so no one cares except the die-hard fans, and there's not enough of them to make running a tournament worthwhile even if all the stars align and everyone can make it.
You'd be better off trying to convince Superstars or whatever it is to get LSV to advertise for a Legacy tournament series. Tons of his fanboys would show up just because he put his name on it.
