Hello fellow Sourcers,

Would you participate in a Block Party Tournament on MWS if one were to be organized?

If you were, which block would you use?

If you wish the banned list were to change, what would you change?

Sorry if the opening post is not as informative as it is.

Ever wonder how Onslaught Goblins would fair against Zendikar Vampires? Which block combo deck is better: Mirage block's ProsBloom or Mirrodin block's TnN? Which control deck is better: Alara's 5CC or Tempest's mono-blue Draw-Go. Block Party is a block constructed format that allows its participants to use a particular block of their choice as their card pool. You can build a deck with a 15 card sideboard that is legal from the chosen block. It can be from any of these blocks:

Zendikar-Rise of the Eldrazi block (Zendikar, Worldwake, Rise of the Eldrazi)
Shards of Alara block (Shards of Alara, Conflux, Alara Reborn)
Lorwyn-Shadowmoor block (Lorwyn, Morningtide, Shadowmoor, Eventide)
Time Spiral block (Time Spiral, Planar Chaos, Future Sight)
Ravnica block (Ravnica: City of Guilds, Guildpact, Dissension)
Kamigawa block (Champions of Kamigawa, Betrayers of Kamigawa, Saviors of Kamigawa)
Mirrodin block (Mirrodin, Darksteel, Fifth Dawn)
Onslaught block (Onslaught, Legions, Scourge)
Odyssey block (Odyssey, Torment, Judgment)
Invasion block (Invasion, Planeshift, Apocalypse)
Masques block (Mercadian Masques, Nemesis, Prophecy)
Urza block (Urza's Saga, Urza's Legacy, Urza's Destiny)
Tempest block (Tempest, Stronghold, Exodus)
Mirage block (Mirage, Visions, Weatherlight)
Ice Age block (Ice Age, Alliances, Coldsnap)

I'm good for any chance to play those badass control cards from Time Spiral block again.

I'd be much more interested in ChYOS.

Rath Cycle was my favorite block, Urza's was probably the most broken, but I would love nothing more than to play with 4 Necropotences and 4 Demonic Consultations. Too bad the rest of the block doesn't really stand by itself.

Seconded, however this could also be cool.

Seeing I've never played block before, a 0-X seems in order for me.

Sound's good, if there is a slot left I'd like to participate, too :).
Zen block sounds fun, or maybe Iceage block.

I'd prefer MyoS more, but I'd probably participate.

Not something I've ever played, but Tempest or Odyssey block would be fun for me, if not crushingly powerful.

Ive been doing a lot of research (mostly from Magic League posts) and surprisingly, there arent any dominant blocks. Although Ice Age block is rarely used.

I would imagine Ice Age block to be a really good block. That block has the best permission, best creature removal and best draw engine (Force of Will, Swords to Plowshares, Necropotence). It has enough good permission (Counterspell, Rune Snag, Power Sink, Counterbalance) and enough cantrip (Brainstorm, Portent, Lim Dul's Vault, Scrying Sheets).

Our local store is actually doing a Block Party tournament and I am thinking of using Ice Age block.

This should be BYOB Build your own block. That format is SOO much more fun.
