Thread bump. This is on Sunday, and I'll be there. Hopefully other people will be there too.

I'm so sad that I have to work that day. If I didn't, I would definitely be there. :(

>_< I'm desperate to support Legacy in the Bay Area, but it's hard when life dictates otherwise.

If anyone cares for the meta I would have played UW Tempo ^_^

I was there playing Ultimate Walker. I realized it was a pretty poor choice once I saw a lot of combo decks there, but I didn't test enough with anything else. ANT beat Merfolk.

I think the metagame was:
1 UWB Countertop Thopter
1 Merfolk
1 Reanimator
1 Ultimate Walker
1 Rogue Combo (Horn of Greed / Summer Bloom / Early Harvest / Lotus Cobra - think sorcery speed solidarity with permanents, but twice as hilarious).
2 ANT
1 ??? - I think it was ANT or Countertop.

@B.C.
You were playing DDANT right? It was nice meeting you.

It was a fun time, very relaxed.
Meta was the following
3 ANT - all 3 were pretty standard saito lists, mine included
1 CBT w/ e tutor, bob, ect.
1 merfolk
1 reanimator
1 horn of greed/ timewarp/ turboland-esque deck
1 UWR control with wrath and some planeswalkers

All and all Eudemonia is an awesome place for legacy events, the players were very friendly and well mannered, except for the guy who had no idea how to play ant and kept complaining every time he lost a game.

I'll post the winners report (woot woot, 8 man legacy tournaments) later today.

Not sure if this is referring to me or not, but I will respond generally with my thoughts on the tournament.

1) I had been looking forward to this tournament for a long time. I don't get to play Legacy very often anymore, and Eudemonia Vintage tournaments are always fun, so I thought this tournament would be a good time. Unfortunately only 8 people showed up, making the tournament 3 rounds. I was very disappointed to say the least since I drove an hour and a half to this tournament. At first the TO was going to make prize based on standings after Swiss, no cut to top 4. I told him that I would strongly prefer a cut to top 4, and since nobody objected he was nice enough to make the change. I just wanted to get in as many rounds as possible. Unfortunately I went 0-2 and dropped utterly disappointed in my tournament experience.

2) I was playing Doomsday ANT, which is a fairly tricky deck. If I was "the guy who had no idea how to play ANT and kept complaining", then that is why. I lost a couple games to my own mistakes, which is frustrating. I would like to think that even though I was losing I was still polite and fairly friendly. If that's not how I came across, I apologize, but frankly at that point I didn't care. The whole tournament was a bad experience for me.

I hope future Eudemonia tournaments get a better turnout. I would love to go to a good Legacy tournament around here.

This is extremely unlikely barring a surprise "Legacy PTQ season" announcement from Wizards or LSV organizing something.

EDIT: Getting LSV to put his name on something would probably spike attendance. There are a lot of PTQ Crawlers who would come to an event just to bask in his reflected glory. It would probably make Goblins and Storm at least 40% of the field, though (for some reason, lots of people in the Bay Area like Goblins or combo).

I wasn't talking about you, I don't think we had any interactions during the day. Were you playing the altered basic lands? and you played again the UWR control deck round 2?
I just saw you play Ad Nauseam, so i didn't know you were on DDANT. I was referring to the guy I played round two who was playing the list that one the Starcity 5k and felt that he couldn't buy a win. It was really the only negative experience I've had since I got back into Legacy a couple months ago.

Yeah, I was playing the heavily altered deck. I did a little complaining myself, but hopefully not so much that it negatively affected anyone's tournament.
