so looks like and intense week for Legacy. Who's going to win both titles back to back?!

wow this is kind of crazy, living in Columbus I can't find any announcements for a trial near me. So far I've heard about this one and one in D.C. ... Looks like I'm going to have to be traveling to play in som trials. I would like any info about good places to stay around there as well if anybody knows.

Eli, do you have any recommendations for good hotels?

If you look on google and type in hotel's in vestal new york and specifically choose a hotel on the vestal parkway (there's like 9 of them all within 2 blocks from the shop). they range from upscale to hojo.

Just realized the prizes looked less than what they are actually going to be, 3rd and 4th is almost guaranteed to also have a 3 round bye thx to the 40 dual land prize structure. We typically get an attendance of over 100 people for these events and we only need 64 to give the bye's out to 4 people!

On a side note, if we happen to get over 128 players the whole top 8 will receive bye's! (And the prizes will be increased from 40 duals to the power 9 + More!)

Do you really feel that a sunday event will pull in 64 people? There were 21 today in Syracuse. Playing for byes is awesome, don't get me wrong, I just wish the prizes were better than packs.

A)Their prizes were packs...
B)People love to play at Jupiter and I have 10 people already crashing at my place Saturday night....
C)40 Duals is worth incredibly more than a couple boxes and is highly desireable...

I guarantee at least 64 show up for the top 4 getting bye's(would bet the farm on it)..

Yeah I wish the prizes weren't packs also, but I payed $10 for a 1/2 box. Still not to bad in my books.

Getting packs isn't so bad if you can go to a late one and win some M11 packs.

Well since you're that sure you could put up that same set of duals as door prizes if there are under 64 registered, seems like a solid bet to me. If you get more then you win by having more and if you lose you've lost not quite the farm.

I like your style sir, Idk why I even set a minimum for my prize giveouts anymore because we always get enough people barring scheduling the event the same day as regionals heh. I assure you that regardless of the attendance the prizes for this event will be pretty awesome.

Wait til you see the door prizes I have got in mind for this event =)

So, I think that this tournament should also count as a NE Championship Qualifier Tournament. It would be a good way to get people who are just showing up cuz it's a GPT to come back and play in the future if they get a couple of extra qualifier points. It might also convince a couple of the naysayers that don't think enough people will show up to make it worth their time.

Is FNM still draft at 6pm?

Thanks.

Thanks.

FNM is still at 6pm and there is a late draft at 10pm as well for those who really don't want to sleep.

This is going to be a NELC qualifier points tourney as well, I made an announcement as such at the last event and forgot to change it on here.

It's only expensive to play both days if you don't top 16 either one cause that'll pay for it right there.

I'll be leaving the Syracuse area at about 8:30 am. If anybody needs a ride post on here by 7:45 so I can adjust my travel time a bit.

@TheyCallMeTim, I'm not sure what the travel time is from Albany-Vestal, but if you want to meet up in Syracuse and carpool from there I'd be willing to do that. I'm not gonna check on here till the am at this point, but post ASAP and I'll check as soon as I wake up to see if you're interested. That means you'd have to be in Syracuse by 8:30 though.

Eli,

There's only 7 decklists. Also, for as good as Dave Price is, I don't think he won an event he didn't play in.

Haha whoops good catch, the 8th list is currently being tracked down. We'll have it for you soon. As for the Dave Price mixup that should say Jesse Krieger, my employee prolly wrote down the name of the deck designer instead of the player by accident.
