This is a deck idea revolving around the card Bitter Ordeal which had some minor success in Vintage until Sadistic Sacrament was printed. Since Legacy decks tend to have more win conditions and multiple copies of each, using Bitter Ordeal will be an uphill battle but combined with some of the other cards in the deck there is potential to build pretty massive gravestorm as well as wipe the opponent's hand and graveyard out. Please keep in mind that this is a very rough list that needs a lot of work and is probably the worst storm deck out there but I think it may have potential if optimized.
Here are some of the main card interactions.
Hellcarver Demon + Bitter Ordeal (not completely sure if you can stack this for it to work so I'll need advice here)
Greater Gargadon + Bitter Ordeal
Hellcarver Demon + Balancing Act (+ Bitter ordeal if you're lucky)
Scepterchant to buy time
Lots of board clearing effects and things that sacrifice.
Here's the list:
4 Wasteland (any use will make gravestorm 2)
4 Scrubland
1 Badlands
1 Plateau
4 Marsh Flats (Fetches will also up gravestorm count)
1 Plains
2 Swamp
1 Arid Mesa
1 Bloodstained Mire

Creatures:
4 Greater Gargadon (can build massive gravestorm and is a great beater)
2 Hellcarver Demon
4 Bloodghast (Recurring Gravestorm with Cabal Therapy)

Other Spells:
2 Orim's Chant
3 Cabal Therapy (You want to name Force or Stifle)
2 Seal of Cleansing (builds gravestorm and gets rid of Leyline of the void (as well as other threats) which is a hamper to this deck
2 Powder Keg (Board Clearing and of course builds gravestorm)
2 Infernal Tutor
4 Bitter Ordeal
2 Isochron Scepter (buys time with chant)
2 Damnation
4 Balancing Act
4 Dark Ritual
4 Lotus Petal (mana accel that builds gravestorm)

Options if you want to include other colors or combos:
Mystical Tutor (to make sure you get a balancing act or bitter ordeal before Hellcarver attacks)
Tarmogoyf (duh graveyards are going to filled)
Terravore (alt win with lots of lands in the yard)
Salvage Titan + Myr Servitor repeatedly builds gravestorm and puts threats down
Delraich + Bloodghast (see above)
Pernicious Deed (would replace Powder Keg if the deck went green)
Pox
Smallpox (maybe should be maindecked anyway)
Sinkhole
Hymn to Tourach
Maelstrom Pulse (also w/ green splash)
Vindicate
Angel of Despair (kind of costly though)
Worldly Tutor + Eldrazi (another great way to end the game with hellcarver)
Crucible of worlds (again maybe this should already be in the deck)

So I'm open to constructive criticism and ideas of any kind. List feels pretty janky right now.

IMO its too slow to be viable. I'm sure that Bitter Ordeal was good in Vintage because it could take out specific cards that were restricted. As a kill condition, Bitter Ordeal could beat Storm, but not much else. Bitter Ordeal is sure to be broken to high hell with something in the future, but that card(s) hasn't been printed yet.

Your other strategy could be better achieved via Cataclysm + good lock pieces.

I used to play Ordeal in my Slivers deck (Casual)...
With Queen + Basal Sliver you can produce an arbitrarily large gravestorm count.

Sadly, that's a three card combo, so ...

Largest problem with be playing against a deck that doesn't care one fig about your best play. Death and Taxes, Goblins, Meathooks, Merfolk, and a host of other decks don't care if you get a bunch of cards from them. One guy is all it takes to get through to kill you when you're so devoted to this plan it will be hard to fight back if you do get off a good ordeal on them.
