So if i have a Engineered plague out named for Merfolk, and my opponent plays a Silvergill Adept, does he still draw a card or how does it all work?

Thanks

Since we had a similar situation this past monday I have another question.

I have Engineered Plague in play naming Faeries. I try to resolve a Brainstorm and my opponent has a Spellstutter Sprite in hand. No doubt he canīt counter my spell with it, but:
-will Sprite enter the battlefield, put her trigger on the stack targeting Brainstorm, then die due to SBE and let the trigger resolve having an illegal target (CC > than the number of faeries) or
-will Sprite enter the battlefield, then die due to SBE and her trigger will never be put on the stack since BS is an illegal target at this time?

I thought it was the first scenario but when thinking about it again Iīm not really sure...

Triggered abilities trigger when they say they trigger, but they aren't put on the stack until just after state based actions are checked, and just before priority is regained.

So:
- Spellstutter Sprite resolves and enters the battlefield
- Sprite's ability triggers since it entered the battlefield
- State based actions are checked since someone is about to regain priority
- Sprite is put into the graveyard since it has 0 or less toughness
- State based actions are checked again, but there are no more
- Waiting triggers are put on the stack - the Sprite's
- As part of putting the sprite's trigger on the stack, the number of faeries on the battlefield is checked. This number is zero. Since there are no 0CC spells on the stack, the trigger has no legal target, and is removed from the stack.
- The active player regains priority with the stack empty.
